Zhejiang Sunyoung Machinery Co., Ltd.
浙江上洋机械股份有限公司
Zhejiang Sunyoung Machinery builds tea-processing equipment in Quzhou and sells it three ways: as single machines, as modular groups and as digitally controlled production lines. The 6CST-40 continuous drum fixation machine is the documented model here. Tell Sunyoung which tea stage you want to add or replace and it can quote a machine, a module or a full line.
A single machine, a module group or a whole line
Sunyoung's company introduction traces its tea-equipment work back to 1988. The catalogue has three tiers: digital production lines with control systems, modular machine groups, and conventional single machines. Single machines are grouped by process step: fixation, rolling, drying, roasting, shaping, sorting and fermentation.
The tier you buy from decides what the quote has to cover. A processor who only needs a new fixation stage can order one drum and define how leaf arrives and leaves. A new plant needs a line schedule, a layout, controls and a utility list for each module. Ask Sunyoung to set out which items it builds and supplies, and which belong to installation, civil work or other parties, so that a line offer and a single-machine price can be compared on equal terms. What each of those process steps does for green, black and white tea is explained in our guide to tea processing machinery by stage.
[1]6CST-40: motor, heat source and size
Sunyoung's model table gives the 6CST-40 a 0.55 kW motor and overall dimensions of 2400 × 760 × 1400 mm. The energy column offers solid-fuel and electric versions. The reference-energy column is written in kW/h, so ask Sunyoung for the figure in clear units with the operating basis behind it, and for a utility schedule for the heat source you pick.
Other drum sizes in the same table carry their own heating options and dimensions; treat them as alternative models. Any throughput Sunyoung quotes should come with the leaf type and process settings it was measured under.
[2]| Item | What it means for your order |
|---|---|
| Drive motor | 0.55 kW is the drum drive. Total site demand also depends on the heating and any added equipment. |
| Heat source | Choose electric or solid fuel, and ask which heater, furnace or related parts are in the supply. |
| Reference energy | Request the value in standard units with the batch or hourly basis it refers to. |
| Leaf in and leaf out | Describe the incoming leaf, the feeding method and the hand-off to the next step, plus the fixation result you need. |
Fitting the drum into your floor and leaf flow
In the drum-range description, the 40 and 50 sizes sit on three-wheel supports, which help when moving the machine and clearing leftover leaves. Larger sizes get moisture-extraction arrangements, and some electric versions have tilt adjustment. Ask which of these features your 6CST-40 build actually includes.
Mark the inlet, the discharge and the transfer to the next stage on your layout drawing. Ask Sunyoung where operators stand to feed, empty and clean the machine, and request a clearance drawing, because overall dimensions alone leave service space open. If you change the heat source or the leaf transfer, agree who updates the control and commissioning documents.
[2]Sunyoung's part in a withering-machine standard
China's national standards information service, run by SAMR, lists Sunyoung among the drafting organisations of JB/T 15113-2025. That machinery standard covers fresh tea leaf spreading and withering machines and took effect on 1 November 2025.
The standard deals with withering, a different stage from drum fixation. If your project includes withering equipment, ask Sunyoung for the model and the documents that apply to it. For the drum or any other module, request that machine's own test and conformity papers.
[3]Commissioning with your own tea leaf
Settle the process result and the sample conditions with Sunyoung before you sign. These four steps make a simple commissioning record for the buyer to keep. Machines from other makers for the same stages are grouped under tea processing, which helps when you benchmark a Sunyoung offer.
Name the leaf and the sequence
Write down the incoming material, the tea you make, the stage before fixation and what the next stage expects.
List equipment and utilities
The drum model, chosen heat source, controls, transfer equipment and every utility it draws.
Agree how results are judged
Feed settings, how samples are taken, the fixation result required, cleaning access and how disagreements are settled.

Sunyoung 6CLXL240 Continuous Tea-Strip Shaping Machine
Catalogue reference: 6CLXL240 (brochure reference)
Sunyoung's continuous shaping module forms high-grade strip tea as it moves forward through heated troughs, with two or three machines linked head to tail. The troughs are 201 stainless steel of equal width, heated by electric tubes underneath, and Sunyoung claims a left-to-right temperature difference within ±0.5°C. The brochure model is the 6CLXL240: 45 kW heating and 0.75 kW base power per unit, 2650 × 1830 × 980 mm, and ≥50 kg/h. Elevators, a cooling conveyor and control and power cabinets complete the line. Adding units adds shaping stages, so ask how output is counted for the full line.

Catalogue reference: 6CHT-80 / 6CHT-100 (brochure references)
The Sunyoung 6CHT tumbles tea in a rotating drum through hot air for continuous first-stage dewatering, and Sunyoung says it also breaks up clumps left after rolling. The brochure lists the 6CHT-80 at ≥200 kg/h and the 6CHT-100 at ≥500 kg/h, both on a fresh-leaf handling basis, so neither figure is dry-tea output. Each model runs on wood or coal, electric heating, or gas (natural gas or LPG), and the heat source changes base power and floor layout. Wood and coal builds also need a 5 × 5 m furnace room. The sections below set out heat, power and layout, then how to test dewatering and clump breakup on your own rolled tea.

Read the full specification record ↗Sunyoung Continuous Drum Tea Aroma Machine
Sunyoung's continuous aroma machine lifts tea on a feed conveyor into an enclosed rotating drum, warms it with far-infrared ceramic heating panels while guide ribs keep the leaf moving, and discharges onto a cooling conveyor. Integrated controls tie the three together, so tea flows through without stopping, unlike a batch aroma cabinet. Sunyoung promises even heating, quick moisture release, good ventilation and little breakage. The product page carries no model code, hourly output or heating schedule, so plan a demonstration with your own tea and ask for a written specification of the module offered.

Catalogue reference: Gas, DRL electric, FP and GRFL solid-fuel furnaces
Sunyoung supplies three kinds of heat source for tea machines: gas direct furnaces (ZRFL and GRFL120-Qt), DRL electric heaters from 15 to 180 kW, and FP and GRFL hot-air furnaces burning wood, coal or pellets. The current table pairs each furnace with dryers, aroma equipment or 6CSF hot-air fixing machines, and lists fuel use, efficiency and size. Pick the receiving tea machine first, then the fuel your site can supply. A few points need a written answer: which gas the kg/h figures mean, the shared DRL-120/135 cell, and what the size columns measure.

Catalogue reference: 6CSFT-60 / 6CSFT-80
The Sunyoung 6CSFT fixes green tea in a drum heated by infrared, with high-temperature hot air as a helper. Sunyoung aims it at fixing stems thoroughly without scorching the leaf, and fits storage, metering and even-feed devices ahead of the drum. The brochure lists two sizes: the 6CSFT-60 at ≥50 kg/h and the 6CSFT-80 at ≥120 kg/h of fresh leaf. Heating is gas or electric. Two items need a written answer before you compare quotes: the base-power cells (1.6 and 1.72) carry no unit, and each size entry prints three numbers under a two-axis heading. The low-energy claim also comes without a measured figure.

Questions buyers should settle
Does the 6CST-40 draw only 0.55 kW?
0.55 kW is the drive motor. Ask Sunyoung for a full utility schedule that adds the heating you choose and any other equipment in the supply.
[2]Is the kW/h figure the energy used per batch?
The table writes it as kW/h without saying per batch or per hour. Ask Sunyoung to restate it in standard units and name the operating basis.
[2]Does the JB/T 15113-2025 listing cover the drum machine?
That standard is about spreading and withering machines, and Sunyoung appears as one of its drafters. For the fixation drum, ask for its own certificate or test report.
