Sunyoung 6CWD-20/50/100 Multi-Layer Circulating Tea Withering Module
Sunyoung's multi-layer circulating withering module stacks spreading layers in one machine. A feed conveyor and a reciprocating flat conveyor distribute fresh leaf, the layered machine withers and circulates it, and a flat conveyor and integrated controls take it out. Brochure rows 6CWD-20, -50 and -100 hold 200, 500 and 1000 kg per batch; those are batch loads, and hourly output depends on cycle time. Two extras can be configured: variable-colour light radiation and near-infrared online moisture detection. Price them as named options with their own acceptance terms.

Build my procurement briefBatch size versus daily output
Every capacity in the brochure is per batch. A 6CWD-100 takes 1000 kg of leaf in one load, and how many loads you run a day depends on the cycle. Sunyoung does not print a cycle time, incoming or final moisture, or the leaf condition behind the batch figures.
Ask for the full cycle with your leaf: filling and distribution, withering with circulation, discharge and changeover between lots. The one-operator figure covers running the machine. Plan loading, quality checks, cleaning and maintenance staff separately.

How leaf moves through the layers
The brochure sequence is feeding, reciprocating distribution, withering, then circulating or discharging. Feed speed changes spread thickness, and the machine starts once fresh leaf is loaded. Layer depth and timing are left to the order, so settle them step by step. Withering opens the green, black and white tea sequences in our tea processing machinery by stage guide.
Incoming batch
State your tea, the leaf condition on arrival and the total load you want per batch.
Distribution
Get the reciprocating feed path, the layer arrangement and Sunyoung's spread and load instructions.
Circulation
Ask for the circulation interval Sunyoung recommends and the route leaf takes between layers.
End of batch
Agree how you judge the leaf ready and what triggers discharge, beyond a timer running out.
Receiving machine
Get the discharge interface, how lots stay identified, and what happens if the next process stops.
6CWD-20, -50 and -100 side by side
The sizes do not scale in a straight line. The 20 is taller than the 50 and 100, which share a 3900 mm height. The 50 and 100 use the same 2.2 kW motor, yet their fan and heating loads differ widely. Size each utility from the row for the model you buy.
| Model | Brochure figures |
|---|---|
| 6CWD-20 | 200 kg/batch; 0.55 kW motor; fan/heating 6+20 kW; 11000 × 4000 × 4000 mm. |
| 6CWD-50 | 500 kg/batch; 2.2 kW motor; fan/heating 7.5+30 kW; 11300 × 4500 × 3900 mm. |
| 6CWD-100 | 1000 kg/batch; 2.2 kW motor; fan/heating 15+60 kW; 16800 × 4500 × 3900 mm. |
| 6CWD-50 example set | One 6CWD-50 with a belt conveyor or elevator and control and power cabinets. Other sizes are quoted with their own sets. |
| Room and utilities | Ask for the layer count, feed and discharge equipment, access and the total electrical and heating load. Room area and ventilation needs are not printed. |

Near-infrared moisture and light radiation options
Sunyoung offers these two extras according to the quality or automation result a buyer wants. The page names them without a model, range, measuring method or control link, so define each one in the order. The fixation and rolling machines that follow are gathered under tea processing equipment.
| Option | What to agree before ordering |
|---|---|
| Near-infrared moisture detection | Instrument supplied, where it measures, the leaf and moisture range it covers, and how it is calibrated against your leaf. |
| Variable-colour light radiation | Device supplied, its settings, and the result it is meant to give in your tea, so you can check it. |
| Link to controls | Whether the option only shows a reading or also drives the process. Ask for a written description of its function. |
| Records and upkeep | What gets recorded, how often the option needs checking or calibrating, and the instructions that go with it. |

Air, heat and settings on each layer
On the 6CWD-50 and 6CWD-100, the brochure gives each layer its own air supply and heating. Settings listed are temperature, total time, intermediate circulation timing, and air and heating timing. No ranges, layer count or evenness figures are printed.
Agree a trial with a full load of representative leaf, sampled on the relevant layers and at each stage. Record the settings and the circulation and discharge sequence next to the leaf result. Sunyoung's weighing-accuracy and air-speed figures belong to its single-layer module, so ask for figures for this machine if you need them.
Buyer questions
Does the 6CWD-100 process 1000 kg per hour?
The brochure rates it at 1000 kg per batch. Hourly output depends on the cycle time, which Sunyoung gives on request. [2]
Are near-infrared moisture sensing and coloured light standard?
They are options that may be configured. Ask for them by name in the quote, with their functions and how you will accept them. [1]
Can one person run the whole withering room?
The brochure lists one operator per machine. Loading, quality checks, lot handling, cleaning and service need their own staffing plan. [2]
Floor space, cost and installation
Sunyoung says stacking the layers saves floor space and investment. Whether it does in your plant depends on the whole set: feed conveying, discharge, controls, access and any options you add.
The official photograph shows a layered installation with its feed route. For your plant, ask for a layout drawing with operator and service routes, plus cleaning and maintenance instructions for the exact build quoted. Feed conveying and discharge can be priced from Sunyoung's 6CS tea conveyors and 44T / 100T elevators.
