Sunyoung 6CSF Hot-Air Tea Fixation Module
The Sunyoung 6CSF is a hot-air tea fixation module: a fresh-leaf feed conveyor, a high-temperature hot-air drum, a cooling conveyor and integrated controls. The brochure offers three sizes. The 6CSF-80 handles at least 100 kg/h of fresh leaf and the 6CSF-100 at least 400 kg/h of fresh leaf, while the 6CSF-120 row reads at least 600 kg/h of dry leaf. Heat comes from solid fuel, electric heating or gas depending on the model, and each heat source changes the base power and floor layout. Below are the capacity rows, fuel rates, straight and bent layouts, a leaf trial plan and what to put in a quote request.

Build my procurement brief6CSF capacity and line make-up by model
Each 6CSF size comes with its own feed conveyor and shares the 6CS60W-6 cooling conveyor. The 80 and 100 rows rate fresh leaf. The 120 row rates dry leaf, so its 600 kg/h figure is on a different footing from the other two.
If you are looking at the 6CSF-120, ask Sunyoung which leaf and which application the rate refers to. The brochure itself says its data are for reference and the actual supply governs. Sunyoung's 6CSFT infrared tea fixation module is the infrared counterpart to price against it.
| Brochure model | Printed rate and matched conveyors |
|---|---|
| 6CSF-80 | ≥100 kg/h of fresh leaf. Feed conveyor 6CS45B-2.7, main machine 6CSF-80, cooling conveyor 6CS60W-6. Heat from solid fuel, electric or gas. |
| 6CSF-100 | ≥400 kg/h of fresh leaf. Feed conveyor 6CS45B-3.1, main machine 6CSF-100, cooling conveyor 6CS60W-6. Solid-fuel or gas heat. |
| 6CSF-120 | ≥600 kg/h, printed as dry leaf. Feed conveyor 6CS60B-3.8, main machine 6CSF-120, cooling conveyor 6CS60W-6. Solid fuel is the only listed heat source. |
Published specifications
Read each value with its stated conditions, and ask the manufacturer for any limit not listed here.
| Specification | Published value | Meaning / limit |
|---|---|---|
| Brochure models | 6CSF-80 / 6CSF-100 / 6CSF-120 [1] [2] [3] | Listed on printed page 15 of the brochure. The current product page describes the module without a model table, so name the build you are being quoted. |
| Line sequence | Fresh-leaf conveyor → hot-air drum fixation → cooling conveyor → integrated control [1] [2] | The brochure adds the heat-supply choice and matching control cabinets. List every included item in the offer. |
| Capacity as printed | 80: ≥100 kg/h fresh leaf; 100: ≥400 kg/h fresh leaf; 120: ≥600 kg/h dry leaf, as printed [2] | Two different leaf bases appear in one table. Sunyoung gives no conversion between them and no recipe behind the rates. |
| 6CSF-80 base power | 7.78 kW solid-fuel / 5.03 kW electric-heating / 6.13 kW gas [2] | This is the base-power column. The electric version also carries a separate 135 kW heating entry, so ask for the full site load. |
| 6CSF-100 / 120 base power | 100: 14.6 kW solid-fuel or 6.83 kW gas; 120: 15.73 kW solid-fuel [2] | Each figure belongs to one heat source. A gas 6CSF-100 draws far less base power than the solid-fuel version. |
| Room and furnace | Solid-fuel 80/100 rows require a separate 5 × 5 m auxiliary room; selected electric/gas footprints say furnace included [2] | Floor rectangles exclude service space. The 6CSF-120 row carries no auxiliary-room note. |
| Temperature settings | No numerical hot-air or leaf-temperature operating recipe obtained [1] [2] | The high-temperature wording and the colour and aroma benefits come without a setpoint. Settle the settings in a leaf trial. |
Fuel consumption and base power for each heat source
The brochure keeps heat demand and base power in two columns. Gas is given in m³/h for the straight layout and in kg/h for the bent layout. Solid fuel is labelled 柴煤式, with no fuel grade, calorific value or efficiency attached.
Treat each row as a starting figure and have Sunyoung write the full supply schedule for the build you order.
| Heat source | Thermal entry and base power |
|---|---|
| 6CSF-80 solid-fuel | 50 kg/h of fuel; base power 7.78 kW. Ask what fuel this rate assumes and at what leaf load. |
| 6CSF-80 electric heating | 135 kW heating; base power 5.03 kW. Request the connection and load schedule, and whether the two figures overlap. |
| 6CSF-80 gas | Straight layout 17–21 m³/h; bent layout 15–18 kg/h; base power 6.13 kW. The two units hint at different gases, so name natural gas or LPG in your enquiry. |
| 6CSF-100 solid-fuel / gas | Solid fuel 70 kg/h with 14.6 kW base. Gas straight 18–22 m³/h, gas bent 16–20 kg/h, with 6.83 kW base. |
| 6CSF-120 solid-fuel | 70 kg/h of fuel; base power 15.73 kW. Because the rate is on a dry-leaf basis, fuel per kilogram of fresh leaf cannot be compared with the 80 and 100. |

Straight or bent layout and the furnace room
Floor size changes with the model, the heat source and the connection shape. Electric and gas rows include the furnace inside the rectangle. Solid-fuel 80 and 100 lines need an extra 5 × 5 m auxiliary room.
The brochure gives length and width only. Height, maintenance access and heat clearance come from the general arrangement drawing.
| Model and heat source | Length × width and installation note |
|---|---|
| 6CSF-80 solid-fuel | Straight 13030 × 1100 mm; bent 11000 × 3350 mm. Plus a 5 × 5 m auxiliary room. |
| 6CSF-80 electric | Straight 14800 × 3350 mm; bent 13030 × 2670 mm, furnace included in both. |
| 6CSF-80 gas | Straight 13000 × 3350 mm; bent 13000 × 2730 mm, furnace included in both. |
| 6CSF-100 solid-fuel | Straight 14400 × 3810 mm; bent 14250 × 1280 mm. Plus a 5 × 5 m auxiliary room. |
| 6CSF-100 gas | Straight 14400 × 3810 mm; bent 14250 × 1280 mm, furnace included in both. |
| 6CSF-120 solid-fuel | Straight 15400 × 3810 mm, furnace included. No bent layout or auxiliary room is listed. |

Planning a fixation trial on your own leaf
Sunyoung says hot air reaches the fresh leaves throughout the drum, quickly stopping enzyme activity and helping the green colour and aroma develop. It also promises fast, even fixation with no scorched edges or burn spots. No temperature, residence time or trial result is published with these statements. A loaded trial on your leaf is the way to see them. Hot-air fixation sits alongside pan, drum and steam methods in our stage-by-stage tea machinery guide.
Describe the leaf
Give tea type, maturity, incoming moisture and how the leaf is handled before fixation. State whether you will feed fresh or dry leaf, and match that to the model offered.
Fix the settings
Ask Sunyoung for the feed control, hot-air conditions and residence-time range of the offered setup. Measure leaf condition as well as air temperature.
Agree quality targets
Set fixation, moisture, appearance and next-step requirements with your processor. Judge a representative full-load run against them, including the no-burn promise.
Include the cooling step
Run the 6CS60W-6 cooling conveyor and your next process in the trial. The drum's input rate tells you little about what the whole line will accept.
Controls, ducts and site services in the offer
Every 6CSF model ships with a feed conveyor, the 6CS60W-6 cooling conveyor and control cabinets covering the main machine and hot-air control. The product page calls this integrated control. Ask for the electrical I/O list, how the feeder stays in step with the drum, what happens after a power cut, the alarm sequence and where Sunyoung's supply ends and your site work begins.
The production photograph shows a leaf conveyor, processing machines and overhead ducts in a working plant. For your order, request a general arrangement with the furnace, utilities, ducts, access and connection points marked. Chimney height, clearances, ventilation and foundation loads come from Sunyoung's installation requirements and your own site engineers.
At handover, the delivery list should name the 6CSF build, its heat source, its capacity basis and the agreed layout, together with the machines, controls, documents, leaf trial and support terms. The brochure on the current site was uploaded in 2022, so ask for the current figures for a 2026 order.
Buyer questions
Does the 6CSF-120 handle 600 kg/h of fresh tea leaf?
The brochure prints ≥600 kg/h of dry leaf for the 6CSF-120, while the 80 and 100 rows rate fresh leaf. Ask Sunyoung to state in writing which leaf and application the 120 is offered for. [2]
Is the electric 6CSF-80 a 5.03 kW installation?
5.03 kW is the base power. Electric heating is listed separately at 135 kW. Request the full load and connection schedule before sizing your supply. [2]
What temperature does the hot-air drum run at?
Sunyoung publishes no numerical air or leaf temperature. Ask for the offered settings and set them in a trial on your own leaf. [1] [2]
Why is gas listed in both m³/h and kg/h?
The straight layout uses m³/h and the bent layout kg/h, and the fuel is not named. Tell Sunyoung which gas you have and ask for the matched burner and consumption. [2]
Does the listed footprint cover the whole building need?
Some rows include the furnace; solid-fuel 80 and 100 lines need a separate auxiliary room on top. Height, access and service clearances come from the installation drawing for your order. [2]
