Taite CBL36AR4 S-Series Combine Conversion Tracks
Taite CBL36AR4 is a combine conversion track system from the UltimaTrack range, listed for John Deere S680, S760 and S780 combines. Each side is 3008 mm long and 1690 mm high in profile, runs a 915 mm belt on four bogie wheels, weighs 2505 kg and has a catalogue contact area of 2.1 m². It is the long version of the AR3: same height and belt width, more length, weight and footprint. A quote should settle your S-series axle, the space around it and the operating load before you weigh up the larger footprint.

Build my procurement briefCBL36AR4 against CBL36AR3, figure by figure
The two models share belt width and drawn height. Everything that affects fitting and weight is different. The comparison helps you choose; it is not a reason to move up to AR4 by default.
| Figure | AR4 compared with AR3 |
|---|---|
| Profile length | 3008 against 2655 mm: 353 mm longer. Your combine needs room for AR4 in its fitted orientation. |
| Weight | 2505 against 2245 kg per side: 260 kg more per module, or 520 kg for a pair before adapters and removed wheels are counted. |
| Contact area | 2.1 against 1.8 m² per side: 0.3 m² more on paper. Taite gives no loaded-ground measurement or compaction result for it. |
| Roller layout | Four lower bogie wheels on AR4 against three on AR3. The running gear differs even though both carry a 915 mm belt. |

Room at each end of the module
The AR4 drawing puts 1479 mm on one side of the upper axis and 1529 mm on the other. Against the AR3 drawing, those spans grow by 224 mm on one drawn side and 129 mm on the other, so the extra length is not split evenly. Which end faces forward on the combine depends on how Taite mounts it; get that orientation from Taite before checking space.
Give Taite the axle position, nearby bodywork, crop-handling path and the clearance you need in work. Ask for a mounted drawing that covers the full range of movement under load, with belt, end-wheel and frame outlines. Height on the drawing is the same 1690 mm as AR3, 642 mm over the axis and 1048 mm under it; the combine's ride height after conversion is a separate figure to ask for.

Published specifications
Read each value with its stated conditions, and ask the manufacturer for any limit not listed here.
| Specification | Published value | Meaning / limit |
|---|---|---|
| Model | CBL36AR4 [1] | Taite UltimaTrack conversion assembly; ask Taite to list every module and adapter in the offer. |
| Listed combines | John Deere S680 / S760 / S780 [1] | Taite gives no year, serial range or axle options for these machines. Get fit for your combine confirmed in writing. |
| Profile length × height | 3008 mm × 1690 mm [1] | Side-view size of one module. Overall combine width and clearance are separate checks. |
| Track width | 915 mm [1] | Same belt width as CBL36AR3. Ask whether frames, hubs, belts or adapters are shared before planning spares. |
| Weight per side | 2505 kg [1] | The module's own weight. Rated carrying load and net weight change after fitting are figures to request. |
| Contact area per side | 2.1 m² [1] | Catalogue figure; Taite does not state the load, soil or belt deflection behind it. |
| Spans from the upper axis | 1479 mm / 1529 mm, as drawn [1] | Together they make up the 3008 mm length. Ask for the installed orientation and mounting datum. |
| Bogie layout | Four lower bogie wheels illustrated between the end wheels [1] | Shown on the model drawing. Load sharing, oscillation travel and per-wheel ratings are not published. |
How load spreads over four bogie wheels
The AR4 drawing shows a longer lower wheel train with four bogie wheels between the end wheels. Taite describes the family's rubber-covered wheels and oscillating bogies as following uneven ground. It publishes no suspension travel, per-wheel rating or measured load split for AR4, so an equal quarter per wheel is only a guess.
Ask Taite for the bogie and hub list, permitted loads and a movement and clearance drawing. Ask how it will test the assembly on uneven ground. Through a harvest, you also need to be able to inspect and buy the right wheels, bearings, seals and belts quickly, so get those part numbers up front.
S680, S760 or S780: pin down the build first
Only three S-series combines appear in the AR4 block. The S660, 9670STS, Case IH and Claas machines on the AR3 list are absent here, so read each model's list on its own. The S-series name does not tell Taite your axle option, original running gear or what approval the conversion needs. If your machine is a smaller combine, ask about Taite's CBM25BR4 compact conversion kit instead.
Send the combine's exact build data and its current axle, tracks or wheels. Ask for an adapter and fixing list for that machine and for the installer's fit and compatibility confirmation. The application list comes from Taite; for John Deere approval or warranty acceptance, go to John Deere.
2.1 m², carried load and your soil
The larger contact area is a good reason to ask about AR4 for flotation. On its own it is a catalogue number, with no stated belt shape, test ground or deflection behind it, and no measured pressure or yield result. The 2505 kg module weight is also only part of what presses on the ground; most of the load comes from the combine.
Ask Taite how it defines 2.1 m² and what supported load it assumes for your machine. If you plan a field comparison, set the soil and combine setup and agree what will be measured. Keep the catalogue area, any engineering pressure estimate and the field result apart when you compare offers.
Buyer questions
Both are 915 mm wide. Do AR3 and AR4 share parts?
Length, weight and bogie layout differ, so expect different frames and running gear. Ask Taite which belts, adapters and service parts, if any, are common. [1]
My combine is on the AR3 list. Can it take AR4?
Taite lists AR4 for S680, S760 and S780 only. For any other combine, ask Taite for an interface drawing and written fit confirmation first. [1]
Does a pair add 5010 kg to the combine?
Two 2505 kg modules weigh 5010 kg. The net change also depends on the wheels removed and the adapters and connections added. [1]
Tensioner, hubs and AR4 manuals
Taite's conversion family uses a hydraulic tensioner with an accumulator, a forged sprocket shaft, sealed hubs and oscillating rubber-covered rollers. A full AR4 offer should list these parts and any connections to the combine. The brochure states no pressure setting, hydraulic demand, load rating or service interval.
Taite's general belt guide is written for rubber tracks, not for accumulator tensioners. Ask for the AR4 installation, tensioning and hub and bogie service manuals, the spare-part numbers, and who installs and supports the system in your country. A straight belt swap, like the T762A-M03P137 track Taite makes for MT700 tractors, is ordered on quite different information. The picture on this page is Taite's UltimaTrack family image with no model label; check the delivered kit against the AR4 drawing.
Handover before harvest
Your acceptance record should link the combine, the fitted assembly and its manuals. Our parts and attachments section brings these track systems together.
