Remo RM-CS3800H Petrol Chainsaw
The Remo RM-CS3800H is a petrol chainsaw with a two-stroke, air-cooled 38 cc engine rated at 1.3 kW at 7500 rpm. Remo offers it with an 11.5, 12 or 14 inch guide bar and specifies a 0.050 inch chain gauge and 3/8 inch pitch. It belongs in a garden and forestry tool range. When you ask for a price, name the bar length and ask Remo to quote the bar, chain and sprocket as one matched set, together with the operator manual.

Build my procurement briefBar, chain and sprocket: order them together
Remo lists three bar lengths and one chain gauge and pitch for the RM-CS3800H. A replacement chain also needs a drive-link count and a bar that mounts on this saw. Ask Remo to name the configuration it ships and to send the parts schedule. For clearing undergrowth rather than cutting timber, Remo also builds the RM-BC gasoline brush cutters.
| What Remo lists | What to get on the quote |
|---|---|
| Guide-bar length | Bar part number, mounting pattern, nose and sprocket type, and which length is standard. |
| Chain gauge and pitch | Full chain designation, drive-link count, and the matching bar and sprocket references. |
| Replacement kit | Approved replacement combinations for this machine revision, shown in the manual. |
| Different bar length | Written confirmation that the manual and model documents cover the alternative kit. |

Published specifications
Read each value with its stated conditions, and ask the manufacturer for any limit not listed here.
| Specification | Published value | Meaning / limit |
|---|---|---|
| Engine type / displacement | Two-stroke, air-cooled; 38 cc [1] | Remo's engine description. Ask for chain speed and machine weight separately; they are not listed. |
| Rated output | 1.3 kW at 7500 rpm [1] | Engine rating at the stated speed. |
| Idling speed | 3200 rpm [1] | Listed idle speed. Carburettor adjustment and service checks belong in the model manual. |
| Guide-bar options | 11.5, 12 or 14 inch [1] | Three lengths on offer. Ask which is standard and for the bar part number and mount pattern. |
| Chain gauge | 0.050 inch [1] | Drive-link thickness. Use it with pitch, link count and bar code when ordering chain. |
| Chain pitch | 3/8 inch [1] | Pair with gauge, drive-link count and sprocket. Remo does not list the link count or full chain code. |
| Max. Cutting | 260 mm [1] | Remo's stated cutting figure. Ask how it is measured and with which bar. |
| Fuel tank | 310 ml [1] | Tank capacity. Remo gives no fuel consumption or run time. |
| Engine Oil Tank Capacity | 210 ml [1] | Listed as a separate tank on a two-stroke saw. Ask what it holds and which lubricant to use. |
| Oil / petrol ratio | 1:25 [1] | Mix ratio from the catalogue. Follow the manual supplied with your engine for mixing and fuelling. |
What the 260 mm cutting figure covers
Remo prints Max. Cutting 260 mm with no fitted bar, timber type, moisture or test method beside it. The bar lengths are given separately in inches.
If cutting capacity matters for your market, ask Remo to define the 260 mm figure, name the bar it applies to and give you its permitted applications in writing.

Engine and tank details
The specification sheet describes a two-stroke engine with a 1:25 oil/petrol mix and also lists a 210 ml Engine Oil Tank Capacity. The sheet does not say what that second tank holds. Ask Remo for a labelled diagram and the fuel and lubrication instructions for the machine you will receive.
The 310 ml fuel tank tells you capacity only; run time will depend on use. Remo gives no chain speed, fuel consumption or field output, so request those if you need them for your listing. Remo's cordless range sits beside the petrol saws and includes the RM-SPL12A battery sprayer and the RM-US3A 20V universal spreader.

Documents to request before a sample
The model page has no operator manual, declared noise or vibration figures, weight or conformity documents. Ask Remo for them before the sample ships, and use a trained operator for any demonstration. Chainsaws from other makers are compared on our garden and forestry page.
| Document | What it should cover |
|---|---|
| Model and configuration | Machine label, serial and revision details, the supplied bar and chain, and the matching instructions. |
| Operator and maintenance manual | Permitted uses, limits, fuel and lubrication, controls, maintenance and replacement parts. |
| Safety and product documents | Declared noise and vibration for this model and the conformity documents your market needs, covering the kit you buy. |
| Handling data | Machine and packed weight, dimensions, transport and storage needs, and the guards or covers included. |

Sample acceptance steps
Use the sample to confirm that the saw, its labels and its cutting kit match the quotation.
Check the labels
Match RM-CS3800H, the engine identity and the revision to the quotation and manual.
Check the cutting assembly
Record bar and chain part numbers, pitch, gauge, drive-link count and the sprocket Remo specifies.
Run a demonstration
Follow Remo's procedure with a trained operator. Note the timber and the fitted bar so the result applies to that kit.
Close support and packing
Get parts references, warranty terms, manual language and the packing list, plus quantity, lead time and stock on the quotation.

Buyer questions
Which bar comes with the RM-CS3800H?
Remo offers 11.5, 12 and 14 inch bars but does not say which is standard. Name your choice and have the quotation state the bar and the matching chain. [1]
Are pitch and gauge enough to order a spare chain?
You also need the drive-link count and the full chain code, and the chain must suit the fitted bar and sprocket. Ask Remo for its parts references. [1]
Will it cut a 260 mm log?
Remo gives 260 mm as Max. Cutting without saying how it was measured or with which bar. Ask Remo to define the figure and confirm it for your intended use. [1]
What is the 210 ml oil tank for?
Remo labels it Engine Oil Tank Capacity while also giving a two-stroke fuel mix. Ask for a labelled diagram and the current manual to confirm what it holds. [1]
What are the weight, noise and vibration figures?
The model page lists none. Ask Remo for weight and declared noise and vibration values, with the test reports, for the configuration you order. [1]
