Remo RM-SPL12A Battery Sprayer
The Remo RM-SPL12A is a 20 V battery sprayer with a 12 L HDPE tank, carried on a sidepack shoulder strap. A dual-speed switch gives 4.0 or 5.0 bar, and Remo lists water flow of 1200 or 1600 ml/min and a maximum spray distance of 7.62 m. With a 2.0 Ah battery Remo quotes 110 min per charge and 3.42 kg net. The kit includes a metal extension wand with a brass nozzle, a plastic wand, a PVC hose and four plastic nozzles. Ask Remo to confirm the build, battery and charger supplied, and output for the nozzle you will use.

Build my procurement briefBuild, motor and battery details
Remo puts the RM-SPL12A data in a specification image on the product page. The page heading and model field read RM-SPL12A, and the name line reads RM-SPL12. The product photograph shows a red and white unit; the package picture in the table shows grey and black. Ask Remo which build and colour your order will ship. Remo's RM-US3A 20V universal spreader covers dry seed and granules if your range needs both.
The table describes the motor as "Brush / Diaphragm", rated at 30 W with a 1.5 A nominal current. The battery in the picture is marked 20V MAX, while the table row gives a rated battery voltage of 20V. Ask whether 20 V is the nominal or the maximum figure.
The table also carries a CE mark. Ask for the declaration of conformity that covers your build and market.
Published specifications
Read each value with its stated conditions, and ask the manufacturer for any limit not listed here.
| Specification | Published value | Meaning / limit |
|---|---|---|
| Model name | RM-SPL12A page/model; RM-SPL12 name line [1] | Two forms of the name appear. Ask Remo which build your quotation covers. |
| Tank and housing | 12 L tank; HDPE tank and PP main housing [2] | Liquid capacity and body materials. Ask for seal and gasket compatibility with your liquids. |
| Water flow | 1200 / 1600 ml/min [2] | Two flow figures. Remo does not say which nozzle or switch position each belongs to. |
| Pressure | 4.0 / 5.0 bar dual speed [2] | Two-position switch. Ask for output at each position with each supplied nozzle. |
| Battery and run time | 20 V; 110 min per charge with 2.0 Ah battery [2] | Remo's run-time figure. Ask for the switch setting and nozzle it was measured with. |
| Net weight | 3.0 kg; 3.42 kg with 2.0 Ah battery [2] | Net weights without liquid. Ask for the loaded weight with a full tank. |
| Maximum spray distance | 7.62 m (25 feet) [2] | Remo's reach figure. Ask for the nozzle and pressure it applies to and the effective spray width. |
Flow, pressure, reach and run time
Remo prints two flow values and two pressure values but no nozzle chart linking them. To compare sprayers on application work, request output for each switch position with the wand, nozzle and liquid you plan to use. Our notes on battery sprayers and diaphragm spray pumps set out which flow, pressure and nozzle details to put in that request.
| Remo's figure | What to ask before relying on it |
|---|---|
| 1200 / 1600 ml/min water flow | Which nozzle and pressure each figure belongs to, and the rate for liquids thicker than water. |
| 4.0 / 5.0 bar dual speed | Regulation tolerance and where pressure is measured. Choose the setting that gives the coverage you need on test. |
| 7.62 m maximum spray distance | The conditions behind it and the effective spray width. Plan pass spacing and canopy coverage from a field trial. |
| 12 L tank | Area per tank comes from your own calibrated rate on the job. |
| 110 min with 2.0 Ah battery | The duty cycle, nozzle and pressure for this figure. Measure litres per charge on your own setup. |

What comes in the box
The contents table and accessory photograph name each item. Remo gives no nozzle part numbers, droplet class or output curves, so ask for these and for a packing list that matches your order.
| Item and size Remo lists | What to settle with Remo |
|---|---|
| Water tank and sidepack shoulder strap | One each. Ask for carrying instructions with a full tank. |
| Extension metal wand with adjustable brass nozzle | One. The table prints 100 cm (43 inch), and those two lengths differ. Ask Remo for the true length. |
| Plastic wand | One, 0.5 m (20 inch). Ask whether it shares a connector with the metal wand and which nozzles fit. |
| Reinforced PVC hose | One, 1.2 m (47 inch). Ask for seal and connector part numbers and the liquids it suits. |
| Plastic nozzles | Four, for the plastic wand. Ask for each nozzle's code, output and spray pattern. |
| Box and loading | Box 360×260×520 mm; loading row prints 600/1550 pieces. Ask for packed gross weight, MOQ and container quantity on the quotation. |
| Battery and charger | The run-time and weight rows refer to a 2.0 Ah battery. Ask whether battery and charger are in the box and which replacements are approved. |
Calibrating for your spraying job
UGA Extension's circular on liquid applicators ties application rate to the nozzle, the pressure, how fast the operator moves and the area covered. It asks for recalibration whenever one of those changes. It is general guidance written for larger equipment, so agree a handheld method with Remo.
For each job, record the nozzle and wand, the switch position, the liquid, the measured output and how you define the treated area. Note the walking pace and the spray pattern alongside those figures. That record, rather than the reach figure, tells you the rate you are applying.
Remo lists PP and HDPE for the body and tank and brass and PVC for the accessories. Before spraying a particular product, ask Remo for compatibility and use instructions, and follow the product label for dose and drift control.
Agreeing the build for repeat orders
Remo gives two net weights and one run time. Fix the build and a repeatable test before you use those figures as acceptance terms. Knapsack and handheld sprayers from other makers are gathered on our garden and forestry page.
Name the unit and pack
RM-SPL12A build, the reason for the shorter RM-SPL12 name, battery interface, voltage basis, Ah, charger and box contents.
Record the spray setup
Chosen wand and nozzle, the corrected metal-wand length, hose and connectors, and the liquids Remo approves.
Agree run time and handling
Duty cycle, pressure, nozzle and end point for the 110-minute figure, plus carrying instructions with a full tank and the recharge time.
Keep repeat-order records
Current table or drawing, acceptance criteria set with Remo, compatibility instructions, service parts, support terms and the CE declaration.
Buyer questions
How many litres does one charge spray?
Remo gives flow and run time separately, without linking them to a nozzle or duty cycle. Measure litres per charge on your own setup, or ask Remo for a tested figure. [2]
Is 7.62 m the spray width?
It is Remo's maximum spray distance. Ask for the effective width with your nozzle and pressure, and check it in a field trial. [2]
Is the extension wand 100 cm or 43 inches?
The table prints both, and they do not match. Ask Remo for the true length of the wand it supplies. [2]
Are a CE declaration and a 2.0 Ah battery included?
The table shows a CE mark and figures based on a 2.0 Ah battery. Ask Remo for the declaration and a packing list that states battery and charger. [2]
