Guangchang TZMQ Pneumatic and DZMQ Electric Gates
Guangchang's TZMQ and DZMQ gates open and shut the flow of loose bulk material in grain, feed, food, oil and chemical handling lines. TZMQ is moved by a pneumatic cylinder. DZMQ uses an electric motor, a worm reducer and a screw that slides the gate board back and forth, stopped at each end by travel switches. The board runs on rollers with a tapered multi-port inlet, which Guangchang says keeps it from jamming or leaking. The sheet gives no sizes or ratings, so a quote starts from your opening, material and control needs.

Guangchang places these gates in mechanical handling of loose bulk material, to discharge it automatically and to cut it off. They control whether material flows. If you need a set feed rate or batch weight, add a weigher or metering device and let it control the gate.
Describe the source above the gate, the outlet shape and what receives the material below it. If one of the maker's TGSS, TGSU or TLSS grain conveyors receives it, name the model so the outlet can be matched. A gate under a full bin carries a different load from one at a transfer point fed now and then. Send the grain or feed type, its condition, the opening you need and the load on the board, and Guangchang can select the build. To send material down one of several routes instead of stopping it, Guangchang offers the TBDQ three-way chute diverters and the TFPX rotary distributor.

Pneumatic or electric: what each needs
A cylinder and a motor-driven screw need different supplies and controls. Choose the drive first, then ask for its own specification.

Jamming and leakage
For DZMQ, the Chinese sheet describes rollers under the board and a tapered multi-port inlet, and says the board moves easily without trapping material or leaking. No opening size, test material, bin load, seal design or leakage limit is given with that description.
Agree a loaded test with Guangchang on your material and the board and drive you are buying. Include how much material may pass when closed, how blockage and wear are checked, and what happens if the receiving machine stops.
These gates are described for discharge and cutoff. If you need a pressure-rated gate or an explosion-isolation valve, ask for a gate designed and certified for that duty.

Controls, maintenance and acceptance
OSHA's technical manual for ethanol plants covers electrical, mechanical and pneumatic energy and the risk of unexpected start-up during maintenance. It is a US reference, but the point holds anywhere: a closed-gate signal is part of process control, and maintenance needs its own lockout arrangement.

No. Guangchang describes automatic discharge and cutoff. For a set rate or weight, pair the gate with a weigher or feeder. [1]

Will the DZMQ gate leak when closed?
