DAYEE DY780-212S-00 Self-Propelled Leaf Collector
The DAYEE DY780-212S-00 is a self-propelled petrol leaf collector for larger grounds. It drives itself at 3.6 km/h, works a 78 cm (30 inch) width and runs on a DH212 212 cc engine. A stepless front intake sets suction height anywhere from 15 to 85 mm, and leaves go into a 240 L rear bag with mulching of up to 10:1. The three kits are bought separately, so a quote for leaf collection alone and a quote with cassettes cover different scopes. Elsewhere in the range, DAYEE lists the DY580-173P-00 petrol, DY580-1600S-00 dual-battery and CXD1600 mains-powered leaf collectors.

Route planning with powered drive
The drive moves the machine at 3.6 km/h. Real output per hour depends on turns, leaf load, overlap, bag emptying and surface, none of which DAYEE quantifies, so judge it from a site trial. Our garden and forestry category gathers leaf collectors and mowers from other makers for comparison.

Give path widths, turns, entrances and the emptying point. Ask for assembled size, turning space and how far the intake projects.
Learn the drive controls
Request the instructions for engaging and stopping the drive. Variable speed and reverse are not listed; ask about slopes.
Fit the operator
Check the handle adjustment and locks on the delivered machine against the operator's height.
Allow for emptying
Include realistic stops to empty the bag in any trial, and ask the bag's maximum filled weight.
Setting the intake for your leaves
The intake adjusts without steps from 15 to 85 mm. DAYEE gives no ideal gap for wet leaves, no maximum debris size and no obstacle clearance.
Tell DAYEE what you will collect and where: dry leaves on lawn, leaves along a paved path, or piles along an edge each behave differently. Ask which of these the machine is approved for and the recommended intake setting for each. During a trial, write down the setting, the leaf condition and how cleanly it picked up. Stones, litter, branches and dense wet material need DAYEE's approval first, and the manual covers clearing blockages.
Testing pickup as the 240 L bag fills
DAYEE lists 49 m/s and 4200 m³/h at idle and a mulching ratio of up to 10:1. Real collection depends on your leaves, so plan from the 240 L bag volume and a trial.

Cassette kits and engine servicing
Both cassettes run at 800/min. DAYEE does not describe their working parts, drive engagement, fitting and removal steps or guards on this page. Ask for a parts list and instructions for each kit, with the engine-off and inspection steps. The 3300/min figure is a separate machine entry.
The engine is a DH212 of 212 cc with a 3.6 L fuel tank and 0.6 L oil entry. Engine brand, rated kW, starter type, oil grade and service interval are not listed, and other DAYEE machines with similar engines have their own specifications. Check the engine plate and manual on delivery and state the documents your market needs on the order.
