Zhejiang Kawasaki Tea Machinery Co., Ltd.

浙江川崎茶业机械有限公司

Zhejiang Kawasaki makes tea-garden harvesters and pruners as well as tea-processing machinery. Its KJ4N ride-on harvester cuts an 1800mm swath, but the whole machine is 3200mm wide, so garden entrances, canopy layout and leaf unloading decide whether it suits your plantation. Send a measured garden plan with your enquiry.

Tea-garden machines and processing lines

Zhejiang Kawasaki dates its business to 1990 and cites technical cooperation with Japan's Kawasaki Kiko. It sells single-person, two-person and ride-on tea harvesters and pruners, plus imported or customised tea-processing and packaging lines. Field machines and processing lines are bought on separate specifications: a harvester table tells you nothing about a processing line's power, water or output needs.

The company describes a service network across China's tea-producing provinces. Ask who will install the machine, handle seasonal maintenance and blade service, and supply parts at your plantation or in your export market, and what the quoted service covers.

KJ4N size, engine and site planning

The KJ4N is a tracked ride-on machine for harvesting and pruning. Its published size and engine data are enough for a first site plan. Ask Kawasaki separately for turning radius, slope limits and travel clearances.

Kawasaki KJ4N Ride-On Tea Harvester

Catalogue reference: KJ4N

The Kawasaki KJ4N is a ride-on tea harvesting and trimming machine from Zhejiang Kawasaki, running on iron tracks that can be configured to the garden. It cuts an 1800 mm swath, but the whole machine is 3200 mm wide and weighs 1370 kg without fuel. A Yanmar 3TNV76 diesel rated at 16.4 kW drives it, and Kawasaki gives a work rate of 10 a/h that varies with garden conditions. Leaf is blown into bags. Ride-on KJ4N or two-person SV100

Kawasaki offers different machines for different ways of working. Keep each model's figures with that model when you compare them. Outside Kawasaki's range, the Jiuqi 4CJC-1800 Riding Tea Harvester and Pruner is a ride-on rival, and the Meihui MH8866 Electric Tea Harvester sits at the lighter end.

[2][3]

KJ4N ride-on tracked machine

Plan garden access, canopy shape, travel and unloading. Kawasaki lists a work rate of 10a/h and says it varies with garden conditions.

SV100 curved two-person harvester

Plan the two-person method and leaf collection. Kawasaki lists a 1000mm harvest width, 13kg machine weight and a TC510 51cc, 2.2kW petrol engine. Ask for the version currently offered.

Leaf collection and output figures

The KJ4N blows fresh leaf into collection bags. Kawasaki states its capacity as one 20kg bag × two bags × six cycles = 240kg, which describes repeated bag changes. Ask how bags are handled, how full they are assumed to be, how long a change takes and how leaf is unloaded.

The SV100 page quotes a leaf and bud integrity percentage and roughly 0.1 hectare per hour for that model. Agree the leaf quality you need and a garden section that represents your plantation before comparing demonstrations of either machine.

Is this a fit for your project?

Based on the manufacturer's published range.

A good fit for

  • A KJ4N order based on a measured tea-garden layout and a defined harvesting or pruning task.
  • A separate SV100 enquiry for two-person harvesting.

Confirm in writing before ordering

  • Garden access, slopes, turning and travel limits; canopy fit and the leaf-collection routine.
  • Harvest quality under agreed conditions, the version supplied, and local service and parts.

Preparing a tea-harvester enquiry

Four steps get you a quotation that fits your plantation.

  1. Send the garden plan

Record entrances, row spacing, canopy size, ground surface, slopes and turning space. Ask for the machine's allowed limits and working dimensions.

  2. Set the harvest standard

State the tea type, cut and leaf-quality criteria, and agree how a sample run will be judged.

  3. Plan collection work

Describe bag changes, unloading and transfer to processing. Confirm staff and accessories for the chosen machine.

  4. Settle support and documents

Ask for the model manual, blade and part numbers, engine service and support in your country, and file them with the quotation.

Questions buyers should settle

Is 1800mm the KJ4N's overall width?

No. 1800mm is the effective cutting width; the overall width is 3200mm. Use the overall width for gates and routes.
