Harvesting
Jiuqi 4CJC-1800 Riding Tea Harvester and Pruner
The Jiuqi 4CJC-1800 is a riding machine that harvests and prunes tea on a hydraulic tracked chassis. Track spacing adjusts from 1600 to 1800 mm and working height from 560 to 1020 mm, inside a 2970 × 3200 × 1930 mm envelope. An air stream blows cut leaf into collecting bags. Jiuqi quotes a work rate of 10 a/h and slopes up to ≤12°. Fit comes down to your rows: measure canopy width and height, aisles, headlands and ground, then book a demonstration on your own plantation before you order.

Build my procurement briefMeasure your tea rows first
The 3200 mm overall width and the 1600–1800 mm track spacing are different measurements. Neither shows how the cutter meets your canopy. A drawing of your plantation next to the quoted machine configuration answers that better than a width comparison. Send the same drawing with any rival ride-on enquiry, such as the Kawasaki KJ4N ride-on tea harvester, so both makers answer against one set of rows.
| Your plantation | Ask Jiuqi for |
|---|---|
| Canopy width and surface profile | The cutter profile, effective cutting width and how much canopy variation it handles. |
| Rows and aisles | Track centres matched to your aisles, plus headland, turning and loading space. |
| Canopy height and cut level | The reference point for the 560–1020 mm working height and how the cut is adjusted. |
| Ground and slopes | Your terrain and surface notes, the operating instructions and Jiuqi's view of your site. |

Published specifications
Read each value with its stated conditions, and ask the manufacturer for any limit not listed here.
| Specification | Published value | Meaning / limit |
|---|---|---|
| Overall envelope | 2970 × 3200 × 1930 mm [1] | Outside dimensions of the machine. Ask for the working and transport sizes and the turning clearance. |
| Track spacing | 1600–1800 mm [1] | Distance between the tracks. Cutting width and row spacing are separate figures to ask for. |
| Working height | 560–1020 mm [1] | Ask where height is measured from and how it is adjusted on the quoted build. |
| Rated output | 28.2/2800, source unit “kW/min” [1] | Printed as one entry with an unusual unit, most likely power and engine speed. Ask for the engine model and its rated power and speed. |
| Published work rate | 10 a/h [1] | An area per hour. Ask for the field, leaf quality, turns and bag changes behind it; it is not a leaf weight per hour. |
| Published slope scope | ≤12° [1] | Jiuqi's stated slope range. Ground, direction of travel and the operating instructions set the safe limit on your site. |
Harvesting and pruning are two jobs
Jiuqi says the machine both harvests and prunes. Air is channelled across the surface of the tea row and blows the cut leaf into collecting bags. The page does not describe the pruning attachment, how to change over, the bag size or leaf-quality targets.
For harvesting, decide what leaf you want and how you will count stems, damaged leaf and leaf left on the bush. That leaf target should suit your factory's withering and fixation steps, which our guide to tea processing machinery by stage sets out. For pruning, set the canopy shape and cut you need and judge it in its own demonstration. Ask which attachments, adjustments and collection parts come with each configuration.

Timing a full field cycle
Jiuqi's 10 a/h rate comes without trial conditions. The labour-saving ratios on the same site belong to the hand-carried models. The page gives no leaf input or accepted-leaf output for the 4CJC-1800.
Agree a representative row, canopy condition, operating procedure and acceptable harvest quality with Jiuqi. Record area covered, elapsed time, turns, stops and bag handling, and log travel separately from cutting. Base your daily area and labour plans on these measured results. If a riding machine does not suit some blocks, price an electric option such as the Meihui MH8866 electric tea harvester alongside it.

Hydraulics, transport and service with the quote
Jiuqi names a hydraulic tracked chassis with hydraulic power distribution and control. Hydraulic schematics, service intervals, machine mass, fuel system, lifting points and transport size are not on the page. Ask for them with the quotation, since they shape how you run and support the machine. The same papers make it easier to weigh this chassis against the other harvesting machines in our directory.
Fix the configuration
Harvesting and pruning attachments, cutter and collection layout, controls and engine model.
Plan access and handling
Mass, transport size, loading and tie-down instructions and an access check for your plantation.
Demonstrate both jobs
Record leaf quality and pruning results separately, following the agreed operating instructions.
Plan service
Manuals, hydraulic, cutting and track parts, local support, warranty cover and the delivery list.

Buyer questions
Is track spacing the cutting width?
No. The page gives 1600–1800 mm track spacing and no cutting width for the 4CJC-1800. Ask Jiuqi for the cutter drawing. [1]
Can the machine work on any slope under 12°?
Jiuqi's slope figure has no terrain or operating conditions attached. Ask Jiuqi to confirm in writing the limits for your ground, and follow the machine instructions. [1]
