Sinharbour HG60T Petrol Rotary Tiller
The Sinharbour HG60T is a hand-push petrol rotary tiller for beds and small plots. Sinharbour lists a 600 mm working width, a 260 mm tilling depth and a BS500E 140 cc engine rated 2.03 kW at 3000 rpm. The machine weighs 32.6 kg net and ships in a 69 × 38 × 66 cm carton. The breadcrumb on the model page says HG36T, so order by the HG60T name and ask for a signed sheet. Use the figures below to check bed access and to plan a soil trial before you buy in volume.

Build my procurement briefWhich model name to order
The web address and main heading say HG60T. The breadcrumb says HG36T and the browser title says HG41P 4 Wheel. The tiller category page lists HG36T and HG60T as two models. The specifications on this page belong to the HG60T block.
Ask Sinharbour for a dated sheet and photos of the machine and engine labels on the unit you will receive. Carry that model name through the sample order, invoice, manual and parts drawing. If you are offered HG36T or a different engine, compare it as its own machine; blades, guards and service parts may differ even when the photos look alike.

Published specifications
Read each value with its stated conditions, and ask the manufacturer for any limit not listed here.
| Specification | Published value | Meaning / limit |
|---|---|---|
| Engine | BS500E; 140 cc [1] | Engine name and displacement as listed. Check the engine label on current production and ask for the engine manual. |
| Engine power | 2.03 kW at 3000 rpm [1] | An engine rating at a set speed. Power at the blades and ground covered per hour are separate figures to ask for. |
| Drive | Hand push [1] | Powered wheels, gear ratios, reverse and blade speed are not described. Ask for the control and transmission description. |
| Working width and depth | 600 mm tilling width; 260 mm tilling depth [1] | Sinharbour's listed figures. Ask for the overall machine width and the soil conditions behind the depth figure. |
| Fuel and oil tanks | Fuel tank 0.8 L; oil tank 0.47 L [1] | Tank sizes only. Fuel use, refill intervals and the right oil grade come from the engine instructions. |
| Material and wheels | Steel material description; 5 inch wheel entry [1] | The wheel entry is labelled front/real with no layout drawing. Ask for the steel grade, coating and which wheel the size refers to. |
| Weight | 32.6 kg net; 35.5 kg gross [1] | Net weight is what you lift and move; gross is the packed weight. Ask what is in the box and how assembled it arrives. |
| Carton size | 69 × 38 × 66 cm [1] | The packed size. Gate clearance and working footprint need the assembled dimensions. |
Will it fit your beds and gates?
The 600 mm figure is the width of soil the tines work. The machine itself may be wider. If you work between planted rows or through narrow gates, get the outside dimensions and turning behaviour before you choose. Tillers from other makers, with their working widths, are set side by side on our tillage page.
| Measure on your site | What it tells you |
|---|---|
| Narrowest bed or row gap | Compare it with the 600 mm working width and the clearance you need beside established plants. |
| Gate and path width | Ask for overall width, handle position and assembled length. The carton size is a different measurement. |
| Row ends and turning | Ask to see the machine turned and repositioned with its real controls. The listing describes hand push only, with no gears. |
| Transport and storage | Allow for 32.6 kg net. Check lifting points, folding or dismantling, and fuel handling in the manual. |

Test the 260 mm depth in your soil
Sinharbour gives 260 mm tilling depth with no soil type, moisture, previous cultivation or pass count, and no area-per-hour figure. Hard ground and a single pass may give a different result, so run a short trial. If you want a second petrol tiller to put through the same soil, the DAYEE DY360-161PT-00 Petrol Tiller is a close alternative.
Describe the ground
Note soil type, moisture, compacted patches, previous cultivation and any stones or roots. Ask Sinharbour for the ground conditions the machine is meant for before testing.
Work a measured strip
Record strip length, passes, depth reached, handling and stoppages, following the agreed safe method. Log hard and easy ground separately.
Judge the effort
See whether the controls and tines are manageable in your beds. Displacement tells you little about how tiring the machine is to steer.
Check the build you accept
If the engine, blades, wheels or controls change from the sample, repeat the key checks on the new version.

Engine parts and tiller parts
The page names the BS500E engine and gives the tank sizes. Ask for the engine handbook and an exploded drawing of the tiller before a repeat supply order. The handbook covers fuel, oil, starting, servicing and storage.
Settle who supplies engine parts and who supplies the tiller's wear parts and controls. Build your spare-parts list from the actual drawing, because the listing gives no detail of belts, clutch or gears. When you report a fault, quote both the machine and the engine identification.

Approval marks and container loading
The model page shows CE, EMC, GS and EURO II marks and a container loading table. The website footer is old and the listing carries no date. Ask for current documents for your market and for the engine actually fitted before you commit to an import order. If you also stock lawn equipment, ask whether Sinharbour's HG48SMH self-propelled mower can share the container.
| Listed on the page | Ask for with the quotation |
|---|---|
| Approval marks | A dated declaration for this model, plus any certificate or report that applies, with holder, scope and the current engine name. |
| 140 / 297 / 397 pieces for 20 ft / 40 ft / 40HQ | Catalogue packing counts. Ask for current pieces per carton, assembly state, stock and the freight dimensions for your load. |
| 32.6 / 35.5 kg net / gross | Check the packing list for guards, wheels, tools and manuals that come in the box. |

Buyer questions
If it is hand push, are the blades still engine driven?
The listing pairs a petrol engine with a hand-push drive but does not describe the transmission. Ask for the manual and a demonstration of the controls to see what the engine drives. [1]
Will the HG60T dig 260 mm in one pass?
Sinharbour publishes 260 mm without soil or test conditions. Agree the ground it is rated for and measure depth, passes and handling in a trial. [1]
Can I use the carton size to check a narrow gate?
The 69 × 38 × 66 cm figure is the carton. Ask for assembled overall dimensions and handle position. [1]
How long does the 0.8 L tank last?
No fuel consumption is published. Running time depends on the engine, load and ground, so ask Sinharbour for measured consumption figures. [1]
What should I ask Sinharbour to confirm in writing?
The model name, the engine fitted, current approval documents for your market and the packing list. Ask for these with the quotation and check them against your sample. [1]

HG60T declarations: 2023 and 2018 versions
A file hosted by a distributor carries Sinharbour's HG60T and HG60TN declaration for production year 2023 and signed that November. The same file holds separate HG60T-B pages and a 2018 HG60T version. Pick the one document that covers your build and keep its dates and values together.
The declaration names the manufacturer, its European representative and the machinery, EMC, noise and engine-emissions documents it relies on. It does not mention the BS500E engine shown on Sinharbour's model page. Ask for a current declaration and manual that match the labels on your unit before quoting any noise or emissions figure.
