SFR S62 Agricultural Roller Chain
The SFR S62 is a plain agricultural roller chain. Its sizes come from SFR's S-type family table: 41.91 mm pitch, a 19.05 mm maximum roller and a 26.20 mm minimum width between the inner plates. The table also gives a 26.7 kN minimum ultimate tensile strength, a 36.1 kN average and 1.87 kg per metre. S62 is a chain code, so the 62 is not a pitch, and the nearby S55 chains use different sizes. Match the position, duty and any attachments to your machine when you ask for a price.

SFR's S62 page shows the chain in photographs. The sizes sit in the S-type family entry, on a bilingual chart that lists S62 with other agricultural chain codes. Read the S62 row itself, and keep it apart from the rows next to it.
The photographs give no finished length, connecting-link set, surface treatment or attachment option. Use them to recognise the plain chain, then ask SFR for the current S62 drawing and a list of exactly what will be supplied. SFR's display names no attachment suffix and no crop-machine position for S62, so state yours in the enquiry.
S62 compared with S55, S55R and S55RH
The S55 rows sit next to S62 in the same chart. Their pitch, roller and inside width differ from S62, though the average tensile figure is the same. For a harvester run that carries attachments, SFR's ZGS38 combine chain is a separate code with its own drawing.

Connecting link, length and guides
Order by installed length or link count and name the connecting link. The S62 chart gives 40.3 mm for L and 43.0 mm for Lc. The wider figure matters where a connecting link passes a guide or guard, so check clearance with the link you will fit. Send SFR the sprocket reference, the space around the chain, the tensioner layout and the machine's service drawing. List each chain run on its own. Chain sold by the metre is a base chain; if you need a timed or matched machine set, or particular connecting parts, put that in the order.
Tensile figures and working duty
The S62 row prints 26.7 kN minimum ultimate tensile strength and 36.1 kN average tensile strength. Both are static figures. SFR gives no continuous working tension, speed-based load table, fatigue test or life estimate for S62.
Describe the load path, speed, frequent starts, crop jams, dirt and lubrication on your machine. Ask SFR for a duty rating and inspection records for the chain it offers. When pricing a second agricultural chain, such as the Dongsheng CA-type Steel Agricultural Chain, ask for the same written rating so the offers compare on equal terms. Base any comparison on the 26.7 kN minimum, and take the working load from SFR's written rating.

Does S62 mean a 62 mm pitch?
S62 is a chain code. SFR's chart gives the pitch as 41.91 mm. [2]
Can I fit S55 instead, since both list 36.1 kN average tensile?
Pitch, roller diameter and inside width differ between the two. Match the chain to your sprocket and drive using the S62 sizes. [2]
Is 26.20 mm the overall chain width?
It is the minimum width between the inner plates. L and Lc give the widths across the chain. [2]
