Guangchang TDTG Bucket Elevator

The Guangchang TDTG is a belt bucket elevator for lifting grain and feed vertically between a low intake and a high discharge. Twelve sizes run from TDTG26/13 at 1–4 t/h to TDTG60/33 at 90–120 t/h, with maximum power from 2.2 to 37 kW. Guangchang fits a rubber-covered head pulley and plastic buckets, offers several belt and boot arrangements, and sells a backstop, belt-deviation alarm and speed monitoring as options. Send your lift height, material and option list to get a matched drive and drawing.

Build my procurement brief

Describe the lift before choosing a size

A bucket elevator carries material from a low feed point to a high discharge. OSHA's technical manual describes elevators doing this for corn receiving and storage at ethanol plants. For a TDTG quote, Guangchang needs the details of your own lift. Where the elevator sits among cleaners, conveyors and filters is sketched in our grain cleaning and handling line basics guide.

  1. Material and feed

Grain or material type, particle size and condition, bulk density and feed rate. The capacity table assumes none of these, so your figures set the size.

  2. Lift and discharge

Inlet and discharge elevations, the vertical route and where the material goes next. No maximum lift height is printed.

  3. Connected equipment

The conveyor, distributor or bin feeding the elevator and the one receiving from it. Size each against the same tonnage.

  4. Build details

Ask for the height, belt and bucket arrangement, belt speed, drive and a connection drawing for your elevator.

Published specifications

Read each value with its stated conditions, and ask the manufacturer for any limit not listed here.

SpecificationPublished valueMeaning / limit
SizesTDTG26/13 through TDTG60/33; twelve rows [2]One elevator family in twelve sizes. Height and bucket dimensions are set for each order.
Capacity range1–4 to 90–120 t/h by model [2]Nominal ranges. Material density, moisture, lift height and belt speed are not stated with them.
Power最大功率: maximum power, 2.2–37 kW by row [2]The table heading reads maximum power. The motor for your elevator depends on height and material.
Head and bucketsRubber-covered head; plastic buckets; bucket belt alternatives [2]Guangchang describes the covering as wear and fire resistant. Ask for the material grade and any test certificate.
OptionsBackstop; automatic deviation alarm and speed monitoring [2]Listed as options, so name the ones you want on the order.

Capacity and maximum power for all twelve sizes

Power figures sit under a heading that reads maximum power. Starting demand and any separate aspiration or conveyor load are additional.

Head pulley, belt, buckets and boot

Guangchang lists a rubber-covered head, light plastic buckets and a choice of bucket belts. The boot has a self-cleaning adjustable curved bottom, a choice of feed directions, and gravity or screw tensioning.

Guangchang's constructionWhat to specify
Head coveringThe covering material and drive arrangement supplied. Ask for test data if you need anti-slip or fire-resistance figures.
Buckets and beltBucket size, spacing and material, belt specification and how the belt is joined and the buckets fixed.
Boot bottomHow much material stays in the boot after a run, how the curved bottom is adjusted, and the cleaning access.
Feed directionThe feed side you need and the matching connection layout.
TensioningGravity or screw take-up, the access needed and Guangchang's adjustment instructions.

Backstop, belt alarm and speed monitoring

The sheet marks the backstop, belt-deviation alarm and speed monitoring as options. List the ones you want, and ask how each is wired and set up. At the head, the TFPX rotary distributor from the same catalogue can split the discharge among several routes.

OptionWhat to agree with Guangchang
BackstopThe device supplied and how it is sized for the drive and loaded leg. Guangchang says it helps prevent the boot choking when the elevator stops.
Belt-deviation alarmSensor arrangement, how the alarm shows and whether it stops the elevator, plus the tolerance it trips at.
Speed monitoringWhat is measured, the speed range and trip point, and the control action on underspeed.
Power loss and restartGuangchang's procedure for restarting with a loaded leg after an interruption.
Order listWrite each option separately on the order and ask for a function check record for each.

Dust control and venting

Guangchang fits observation windows and a vent opening, and offers a small auxiliary pulse dust collector. It says these features help prevent dust explosion. The sheet gives no vent area, pressure rating, certificate, discharge location or dust-system design.

OSHA's technical manual explains that transfer points and elevators generate combustible dust and that overheated bearings and slipping belts can ignite it. It describes monitoring and dust control in a facility setting. Rules differ by country, so check the requirements that apply to your plant.

Ask Guangchang and your plant designer to set out in writing the enclosure, aspiration duty, venting and monitoring for your elevator, and any approval your site needs. For a central dust system, the maker also builds the TBLM and TBLMA pulse bag filters.

Layout, delivery and acceptance

The sheet has no overall dimensions, weight, support loads, lifting instructions or shipping details. Get these from Guangchang's drawing for your height before designing supports.

  1. Drawing and loads

Installed height, inlet and discharge positions, supports and access platforms, weight, and handling and shipping details.

  2. Output test

Agree the material, feed, quantity and accepted grain condition at your height, speed and bucket arrangement, and check breakage and tonnage on site.

  3. Controls and options

Record which options were supplied and confirm each works as agreed at commissioning.

  4. Spares

Keep part references for buckets, belt, joints, drive, boot, take-up and sensors, with service instructions and lead times.

Buyer questions

Is 37 kW the motor fitted to every TDTG60/33?

37 kW is the maximum power in the table. The motor for your elevator depends on lift height and material; ask Guangchang to state it on the quote. [2]

Are the belt alarm and speed monitor standard?

No. The sheet lists them as options. Name them on your order and confirm the control actions. [2]

Does the vent opening make the elevator explosion protected?

Guangchang publishes no vent design, pressure rating or certificate. Have the dust and explosion protection assessed for your plant and confirmed in writing. [2] [4]

Does the model code tell me bucket size or lift height?

The sheet gives capacity and maximum power for each code. Request the drawing and belt and bucket details for the elevator you order. [2]
