Zhejiang Hongming Tea Machinery Technology Co., Ltd.

浙江红茗茶机成套技术有限公司

Zhejiang Hongming Tea Machinery builds tea-processing equipment and sells complete black-tea process projects as well as single machines. A good enquiry opens with your fresh leaf: variety, grade, daily arrivals and the black tea you want to make. Add the rooms you have, then agree with Hongming which stages, interfaces and trial results its proposal will cover.

Jump to the information you need

Start with your leaf and the tea you want

Hongming's company introduction covers R&D, production, sales and service for tea-processing equipment and process solutions. Its homepage walks through a black-tea route: fresh-leaf acceptance and spreading, withering, rolling, fermentation, initial drying, moisture equalisation, repeat drying and finishing. Hongming says a project can include a premises layout and an equipment and process plan made for the buyer.

Before you ask for a complete line, write down the leaf variety, incoming grade, picking pattern, daily arrival peaks and the product you plan to sell. Hongming can then size the stages around real batches. Ask the proposal to list which stages, handling equipment, rooms, controls, installation and commissioning are included. The recipe and the cup you aim for stay with your own tea team.

[1][2]

Hongming machines for each process stage

The homepage groups Hongming's equipment by process stage. Use the groups to map your line, then ask for the data sheet of each machine you plan to buy, since capacity and controls are given model by model.

[1][2][5]

Receiving and withering

Fresh-leaf tray loader, intelligent spreading and withering machines, continuous withering equipment and stepped withering troughs. Plan batch arrival, tray handling and holding space.

Rolling and fermentation

Automatic pneumatic rolling units, fresh-air variable-temperature fermentation rooms and continuous fermentation rooms. Ask for chamber size, airflow, loading method and control details.

Drying and finishing

Initial drying, deactivation and moisture-equalisation units, final dryers, simulated-charcoal electric roasting, aroma optimisation and compound-heat-source roasters. Agree process scope and utilities stage by stage.

Monitoring

Hongming presents a digital monitoring platform for its tea equipment. Ask for the sensor list, communication protocol, remote-control scope, data retention and subscription terms.

Quote the exact model, configuration and operating conditions together, and ask the factory to confirm current availability.

HONGMING Fresh-Air Variable-Temperature Tea Fermentation Room

HONGMING's fresh-air variable-temperature fermentation room ferments black tea after rolling. It works in batches and takes 600 市斤 of rolled leaf per batch, about 300 kg at 0.5 kg per 市斤, spread on 30 fermentation frames. The room measures 3.3 × 2.8 × 2.2 m and runs on 380 V with 10 kW power. Temperature, humidity and time are adjustable, and fresh air is exchanged continuously. HONGMING publishes no model code, control ranges, airflow or batch time, so ask for these with your quotation and confirm the room on a trial batch of your own leaf.

Ask the factory for the current specification sheet for this model.

Fresh-leaf tray loader: size, cycle and power

The fresh-leaf tray-loading machine is sold under its product name, with no model code. Hongming says spreading thickness adjusts to leaf variety, shape, weight and grade, and that the machine spreads more evenly with less handling damage than manual work. Check those results in a trial on your own leaf.

Is this a fit for your project?

Based on the manufacturer's published range.

A good fit for

  • Planning several tea-processing stages with one supplier, up to a tailored black-tea equipment and process proposal.
  • Quoting the fresh-leaf tray loader against your existing trays and room layout.
  • Discussing electric tea roasting with a maker named on a roasting patent application.

Confirm in writing before ordering

  • Line capacity on an agreed leaf and batch basis, the balance between stages and the installed utility load.
  • Room layouts, controls and interfaces, leaf-contact materials and the cleaning procedure.
  • Trial method, the exact machines delivered, installation scope and support terms.

Agree acceptance across the linked stages

Ask Hongming to show the links between stages and the pass criteria before installation. Its public pages give no plant throughput study or commissioning protocol, so agree these points with Hongming and your tea producer's technical team.

[1][2][3]
  1. Incoming leaf basis

Record varieties, grades, arrival peaks and the batch conditions used in demonstrations. Keep fresh-leaf mass and finished-tea mass apart.

  2. Handling between stages

Draw the trays, trolleys, transfers and buffers. Mark where operators load, move, clean and inspect.

  3. Utilities and rooms

Request load schedules, layout drawings and the room conditions each stage needs, as a finished engineering design for your site.

  4. Trial and commissioning

Agree machine readings, batch records and product assessment with qualified specialists. Uniformity, aroma and leaf-damage results should come from an agreed trial method with a comparison batch.

Electric tea-roasting patent application

Published application CN110771701A, dated February 2020, names Zhejiang Hongming Tea Machinery Complete Technology Co., Ltd. (in Chinese) and Zhejiang University as applicants for a simulated-charcoal electric tea-roasting device. The application gives an address in Shangyu, Shaoxing; the current website shows a different street address in the same district. It links Hongming to this roasting design and to a university partner.

The document is an application. It covers the roasting device only, and says nothing about the tray loader. If patent cover matters to your purchase, ask Hongming for the current legal status and which commercial roaster uses the design, together with energy and quality test data for that roaster.

[4][1]

Build quality, drawings and after-sales support

Hongming's introduction mentions its own production equipment and testing capability. The technical page shows patent and monitoring illustrations; a full equipment manual or integration specification is not published.

For a project quote, request drawings, materials and cleaning instructions for leaf-contact surfaces, maintenance access, control documents and a spares list for the actual machines. Ask about weld inspection, food-contact declarations and serial traceability, and whether you can visit the factory. Clarify who installs, commissions and trains operators, what the buyer supplies, and the warranty and support terms. The site also lists project cases and dispatch news; ask Hongming for customer references you can contact.

Questions buyers should settle

Does 15 seconds per tray tell me the output of the whole line?

It covers the loader only. To get kg/h, ask for leaf mass per tray and whether tray exchange and refilling are included. Withering, fermentation and drying times set the line output, so each needs its own design basis.

[3][1]
What model number does the tray loader have?

Hongming publishes it as the fresh-leaf tray-loading machine, with no model code. Ask Hongming to put a model or item code on the quotation so the order is clear.

[3]
Are all Hongming machines patented?

The patent document on file is one application for an electric roasting device. Ask Hongming for grant status, current rights and which commercial models they apply to.

[4]
Can the monitoring platform connect to equipment I already own?

Hongming presents the monitoring platform without an interface protocol or compatibility list. Request the sensors, protocols, access controls and commercial scope for your project.

[5]
Will the equipment improve tea quality and reduce leaf damage?

Hongming says its equipment spreads leaf more evenly and causes less damage. Agree leaf conditions and assessment criteria with Hongming and your tea specialists, then judge the results on a trial batch.
