Yuanfeng Automated Anji White Tea Line

Yuanfeng builds an automated equipment line for Anji white tea. It links shaping, air sorting, reconditioning and drying, runs from a touch-screen electrical control panel and feeds and discharges leaf automatically. Yuanfeng sells it as an engineered project with no single model code or fixed rating, so capacity, utility loads and the process drawing come with your quotation. This page covers the tea process to specify, the handover between stages, the control scope, a trial run for acceptance and the site works to put in the contract.

Build my procurement brief

Anji Baicha is a green tea: say which process you run

Anji Baicha comes from Baiye No. 1 leaves. The Ministry-hosted account classes it as a green tea and includes a fixation stage in its processing. In English, "white tea line" can also mean a different tea category with a different method, so the cultivar name on its own is a poor guide to the machinery.

Ask for a process diagram with the quotation. It should show the incoming leaf and mark the agreed fixation, shaping, conditioning and drying steps, including any equipment that another supplier provides. That drawing defines what the line includes. Throughput and leaf quality targets go into the acceptance terms.

Set the tea and its route before choosing modules

Yuanfeng places this line in Anji white tea production and names the operations it joins. Teas sold in English as white tea vary widely, so write down the leaf you receive, the tea you sell and the process steps you need, and agree them with Yuanfeng.

Ask for a full process diagram marking every stage, any bypass and the leaf condition at each inlet and outlet. Mark which machines are new, which existing machines stay and which operations sit outside the line. For a tea type Yuanfeng has not quoted before, ask for its proposed sequence and a sample run.

Handovers between stages

Each connection between stages needs its own specification. Yuanfeng groups shaping, air sorting, reconditioning and drying into one line; transfer heights, buffer sizes and per-stage capacities are for the quotation. Use the list below as your request. If one stage comes from another supplier, comparable single machines include the Sunyoung EF-40 / EF-40G Tea Air Sorters and the Sunyoung 6CHB Continuous Tea Dryers.

StageAsk Yuanfeng for
ShapingThe machine name, incoming leaf condition, adjustable settings and output handling, plus the shaping rate and any quality limits.
Air sortingFeed condition, where accepted and rejected leaf goes, how it is adjusted and how separation is tested.
ReconditioningWhat the stage adjusts, how that is measured for your leaf, the control range and the transfer conditions.
DryingHeat source, utility demand, residence time or control basis, and how output quality is assessed for your tea.
Between modulesTransfer method, heights, buffer or holding space, and what happens upstream and downstream when one module stops.

What the automation covers

Yuanfeng lists touch-screen control with automatic feeding and discharge. Recipe selection, sensor types, remote access, batch records, automated cleaning and fault recovery are not mentioned, so ask for any you need as named items in the offer.

Request a control-function schedule that shows operator tasks, alarms, interlocks, startup, shutdown and recovery after a stop. Settle who supplies the electrical cabinet, field wiring and commissioning. If an existing machine joins the line, add its signals and behaviour to the same schedule.

Test the full route with a representative tea run

Yuanfeng describes the line as cleaner, less labour-hungry and easy to maintain. To hold it to those points, agree the trial leaf, the scope of the run and how results are measured.

  1. Fix the leaf and the target

Choose representative incoming leaves and your tea assessment, with sampling points through the selected stages.

  2. Record the whole run

Measure input and output quantities and elapsed time, plus stoppages, rejected leaf, operator interventions and utility readings.

  3. Watch the handovers

Observe feeding, transfer and discharge under real installation conditions, including the agreed response to a stop.

  4. Close the documents

Match results and settings to the delivered module models, process and control drawings, manuals, parts lists and commissioning record.

Site works and service in the quotation

Line dimensions and the electric and heat requirement come with the quotation. Ask for a site layout drawn for the quoted modules, with leaf access, cleaning and service space and every utility connection. Footprints of single machines placed side by side rarely make a working line layout.

Request an itemised supply list covering conveyors and transfers, controls, installation, commissioning and training. Agree the trial material, who is responsible for what, the first set of wear and service parts, the warranty and how support reaches your country. Integration with existing machines and building works need their own named responsibilities. If you only need a single machine to add to an existing line, other makers are listed on our tea processing page.

Buyer questions

What output in kg/h does the line reach?

Yuanfeng publishes no capacity figure. Get the rate in the module schedule and fix it through a run with representative leaf. [1]

Does touch-screen control include remote monitoring?

Remote functions, protocols and data storage are not described. Ask for the control-function schedule for your line. [1]

Can the rate of one module stand for the whole line?

Transfers, leaf changes and the other modules all affect output. Ask Yuanfeng for a balanced figure for the complete line. [1]

Does the line suit every tea sold as white tea?

Yuanfeng designs it for Anji production. Describe your own tea process and ask Yuanfeng to confirm in writing that the line fits it. [1]

Do the free installation and local repair promises apply overseas?

Yuanfeng offers free installation and commissioning and spring-tea support in Anji and China. Engineer travel, site works, overseas attendance and warranty length for your country belong in the line quotation, together with the trial tea and acceptance records. [3]
