Xinglaihe TB404-A9 / TB404-H1 Tractor

Xinglaihe builds the TB404 tractor in two travel versions on one XY477 engine rated 29.6 kW at 3600 rpm. The A9 has stepped gears in three ranges; the H1 has continuously variable speed within each range, up to 22.2 km/h forward. The design table lists a front PTO at 3461 rpm and a rear PTO at 750 rpm, two/four-wheel drive and a category 1N linkage. Pick the travel version for your work, then match the PTO and linkage to your implements.

Build my procurement brief

Stepped A9 gears or variable H1 speeds

The A9 gives fixed speeds for three forward gears and one reverse in each range. The H1 gives a speed span from zero in each range. If neither version suits the job, the TA304-A9 compact tractor and the TC504-A8 from the same maker are worth a parallel quote.

RangeDesign speeds in km/h
A9 highReverse 11.7; forward gears 1–3: 5.9 /12 /21.2.
A9 mediumReverse 6.5; forward 3.2 /6.6 /11.7.
A9 lowReverse 1.7; forward 0.8 /1.8 /3.1.
H1 highReverse variable 0–17.7; forward variable 0–22.2.
H1 mediumReverse 0–6.8; forward 0–8.5.
H1 lowReverse 0–3.7; forward 0–4.7.

Slow work: test it with your implement

The H1 has variable forward and reverse speed spans. The table does not say whether the drive is hydrostatic or how direction and range are selected. Ask Xinglaihe for the transmission diagram and operating instructions.

If your work needs steady slow travel, agree a loaded demonstration with your implement: starting off, holding the pace you need and changing speed and range. The H1 low-forward span of 0–4.7 km/h is a catalogue range; the steady minimum speed and pass quality show up in the field. For the A9, compare its fixed low gears against the pace your job needs.

Front PTO at 3461 rpm, rear PTO at 750 rpm

The PTO row names a front and a rear output. The feature list also mentions forward and reverse PTO and a six-key shaft, without saying which applies to which output or version.

  1. Which output your tool needs

Note front or rear mounting, required shaft speed and power, rotation and driveline layout. Front and rear shafts serve different tools.

  2. Output chart for your build

Ask whether both outputs come on the A9 or H1, their speed relation to the engine and the engagement modes.

  3. Interface and guarding

Get shaft dimensions, couplings, guards and approved tool setups. Match your tool to 3461 or 750 rpm as listed.

  4. Run the tool

See the tool working on the tractor following Xinglaihe's instructions. Power at each shaft will be below the 29.6 kW engine rating.

H1 length, turning and track

Both versions share width, height and the 1666 mm wheelbase. Overall length is 2760 mm for the A9 and 2900 mm for the H1, a difference of 140 mm. The table does not say whether it is at the front or rear, so ask for a drawing before fitting a mounted tool or planning transport.

The 2500 mm turning radius is for the tractor alone; a projecting tool sweeps a wider path. The 930 mm front and 1040 mm rear tracks are measured between tyre centres. Check the full tyre and tool width against your gateways and crop rows. For tight rows, put the TA254-A6 / TA254-A9 compact tractor drawing next to this one and compare the two envelopes.

Buyer questions

Is the H1 a hydrostatic (HST) tractor?

The table shows variable speed spans but does not name the transmission type. Ask Xinglaihe for the transmission diagram. [2]

Are 3461 and 750 rpm two rear PTO speeds?

The table labels 3461 rpm as the front output and 750 rpm as the rear. Ask which are fitted on your version and in which direction they turn. [2]

Why does the table say TB404A?

The printed table carries an extra A that the webpage heading lacks. Ask Xinglaihe to confirm the nameplate model in writing. [1] [2]

Can the H1 creep steadily under load from zero?

The table gives a span starting at zero but no tested minimum working speed. Check it in a loaded demonstration. [2]

Load and hydraulic data to request

Hydraulic lift and a 1N linkage appear in the table. Lift capacity and remote hydraulics are not given, so request them for your tractor.

For your setupWhat to ask Xinglaihe for
Transport and operating loadsComplete and loaded masses, permitted axle loads and the options fitted. The 128 kg figure belongs to the engine block.
Lifting a mounted toolLift force and where it is measured, your tool's mass and centre of gravity, linkage dimensions and clearance through the lift.
External hydraulic toolFlow, pressure, valves, couplers and return line where needed.
Drive and soilOperating limits for your site and how to switch between two- and four-wheel drive.

Model name and documents

The website says TB404-A9 / TB404-H1; the printed table header says TB404A-A9 / TB404A-H1. Ask Xinglaihe which name appears on the nameplate and documents for your order.

Xinglaihe notes that all figures in the table are design values, including the fourth-stage emission label and the dated linkage standard. Ask for the model manuals, any approvals your country requires and the configuration being quoted. Price and field capacity are not in the table.
