Xinglaihe TA254-A6 / TA254-A9 Compact Tractor
Xinglaihe offers the TA254-A6 and TA254-A9 compact tractors for farm and garden work, compared in one design table. Both use an XY377-C engine rated 18.5 kW at 3000 rpm, are 970 mm wide and have a 770 mm standard track with a 960–1200 mm adjustable setting. The A9 is 50 mm longer in wheelbase and has a different speed range. Both offer forward and reverse PTO. Here is how the two differ and what to confirm for row work and implements.

Build my procurement briefA6 or A9: where they differ
Power is the same; length and gearing are not. Where the table shows a slash, no figure is given. Xinglaihe uses the same A9 suffix on the TB404-A9 / TB404-H1, so state the full model name on every enquiry.
| Difference | Design figures |
|---|---|
| Overall length / wheelbase | A6: 2500 /1320 mm; A9: 2550 /1370 mm. Check the tractor and tool together on your route. |
| High-range forward speeds, gears 1–3 | A6: 4.17 /8.53 /15 km/h; A9: 4.95 /10.10 /17.70 km/h. |
| High-range reverse | A6: 8.35 km/h; A9: 9.80 km/h. Design values; choose working speed for the job. |
| Medium-range entries | A6 shows slashes; A9 gives forward 2.74 /5.61 /9.80 and reverse 5.49 km/h. Ask which gearbox your tractor will have. |
| Low-range entries | Both give forward 0.74 /1.51 /2.65 and reverse 1.48 km/h. Test implement work quality on your ground. |

Narrow track for orchards and rows
The tractor is 970 mm wide overall. Track is listed as 770 mm standard and 960–1200 mm adjustable, front and rear. Wider track moves the tyres outwards, so expect a wider machine at the top settings.
Ask for a drawing at your chosen track setting, showing tyres, rim orientation and fitting parts. Measure gates and crop rows against the real wheel and implement width, and let your operator set the working clearance. Ask Xinglaihe for the adjustment method and which settings are approved.

Forward and reverse PTO
The table lists a reverse PTO speed of 623 rpm and forward speeds of 635 and 1116 rpm, with a six-key shaft. The viewing direction and shaft dimensions are not shown, so match your implement step by step.
Your implement
Note the tool's required rotation, speed, power, driveline and guard dimensions. Check it against these speeds, which differ from 540 rpm.
Tractor output drawing
Ask for the shaft and key details, how rotation direction is defined and the engine-to-PTO speed chart.
Engagement and guarding
Get the operating instructions, approved driveline setup and guarding. Use reverse PTO only for tools designed for it.
Demonstration
See rotation and function checked on the tractor and tool you are buying, with bystanders kept clear as the instructions require.

Increased-speed turning and the 1700 mm radius
The table lists increased-speed turning and a 1700 mm turning radius, without saying when the feature engages or how the radius was measured. Ask for the feature description and operating rules before planning turns near crops, obstacles or with a tool fitted.
With a rear implement, the turning path includes the implement's swing. The A6 and A9 have different wheelbases, so try your chosen tractor and tool on a similar headland, following Xinglaihe's instructions.

Buyer questions
Are the A6 and A9 the same apart from the name?
No. The table gives different overall lengths, wheelbases and high and medium range speeds. [2]
Is the tractor still 970 mm wide at 1200 mm track?
Track is measured between tyre centres, so the tractor is wider at that setting. Ask for the overall width at your chosen track. [2]
Is reverse PTO the same as reverse travel?
No. Travel speeds come from the gearbox; PTO direction and speed belong to the rear output shaft. [2]
Does the tractor weigh 99 kg?
That figure is in the engine block. Ask Xinglaihe for the complete machine mass. [2]
Engine mass, tractor mass and power
The 99 kg figure sits in the engine rows of the table; no complete tractor mass is given. Ask for unladen and operating masses, axle limits and a check of your implement and ballast. The chassis, wheels and fluids all add to the total.
The 18.5 kW rating is engine power. Drawbar power and power at the tool's shaft speed are lower and not listed. Ask Xinglaihe for output data and a working demonstration when comparing the two variants. If the work turns out to need more than 18.5 kW, the TA304-A9 compact tractor and the TC504-A8 / TC504B-A8 are the other compact models Xinglaihe lists.

Matching a compact implement
The tractor has a category 1N linkage and hydraulic lift. To match a tool, ask for the following.
| For the combination | What to request |
|---|---|
| Pins, spacing and lift travel | Linkage dimensions and how your implement mounts and clears the tractor. |
| Lift and load distribution | Rated lift and its measuring point, the weight and balance point of your tool, and permitted axle and ballast setup. |
| External hydraulics | Available flow and pressure, valves, couplers and return line if your tool needs them. |
| Support package | A6 or A9 operating manual, adjustment and service instructions, and part numbers for the wheels, linkage and PTO supplied. |
