Xinglaihe 820 / 2ZG-8AJ Seed-Production Rice Transplanter
The Xinglaihe 820 / 2ZG-8AJ is an eight-row diesel rice transplanter sold for seed-production work. It plants rows 20 cm apart, narrower than the 30 cm six-row 630 machines, with six along-row spacings from 11 to 25 cm. It takes blanket-mat seedlings and runs on an 18 kW XY377-A engine with HST and four-wheel drive. For seed production, start from your parent varieties, the planting pattern and how you keep lots apart. Eight rows is the machine's capacity; you decide which rows carry the female and male parents. For commercial paddy planting outside seed production, ask about the 825 eight-row transplanter from the same maker; other rice planting machines are grouped in our planting section.
Draw the row pattern
Show which parent lot goes in each row and how the pattern carries on between passes. Get Xinglaihe's written agreement that the machine plants it without stray rows.
Link seedling supply to row units
Check tray and mat fit and the operator's loading order. Keep parent lots marked through transport, loading and changeovers.
Ask how rows are switched
The 8AJ table does not list automatic parent-row selection. Ask how rows are stopped or selected on the machine you will receive.
Check pass changes and edges
Agree a demonstration of your loading and pattern procedure and inspect the planted rows. Seed purity also depends on your own lot handling.

Row pitch, working width and vehicle width
Each figure answers a different question. The swath figures below are simple arithmetic from the row count and pitch.

Bring real mats to the demonstration
Xinglaihe specifies blanket-mat seedlings at 2–4 leaves and 8–25 cm tall. Tray size range, mat thickness and strength, and a list of tested parent varieties are not given. Bring representative mats from each lot and ask for the model's nursery and feeding requirements.
The horizontal feed choices and the 8–19 mm longitudinal feed set how much mat is picked. Agree how empty positions, multiple seedlings, damaged seedlings and row-to-row consistency will be checked in the demonstration, with pass values set for your crop and task.

What the density figures mean
The catalogue pairs the six spacings with counts of 140, 120, 105, 88, 80 and 62 per 3.3 m², without saying how they were counted.
By arithmetic, a perfect 0.20 m × 0.11 m grid gives 150 planting positions per 3.3 m², which differs from the printed 140. Ask Xinglaihe to explain its basis, then measure your own arrangement. Seedlings, planting positions and parent proportions are three different numbers.

Seedling supply, changeovers and daily output
Xinglaihe lists 0.4–0.6 ha/h without field conditions, refill frequency, travel speed or shift output. Parent-lot changeovers, seedling handling, turns and field access all affect your day. Ask for a demonstration with your planned row pattern. On small or awkward parent plots, it can be worth pricing the four-row 2ZG-4QR alongside it.
Four-wheel drive, HST and hydraulic steering are listed. Ask for the soil and water limits, field entry and exit requirements and operator training for this model. Work out planting speed from an agreed working width and field efficiency, rather than from engine rpm.

Buyer questions
Does the seed-production model set parent ratios automatically?
The model table does not describe automatic parent-row control. Agree your row pattern, lot handling and the row-switching method with Xinglaihe. [1]
Is 2070 mm the planted width?
It is the vehicle width. Eight rows at 20 cm give a repeating swath of 1.60 m, depending on how passes join. [1]
Are the density figures seedlings per position?
The table gives counts per area without saying what was counted. Ask Xinglaihe for the basis and measure count, placement and parent split in your demonstration. [1]
Adding a fertilizer attachment
The 2FCF-8 fertilizer page names the 2ZG-8 carrier family in general. It does not mention the 2ZG-8AJ or give an adjustment drawing for 20 cm rows. Before adding it to an offer, get written fit approval from Xinglaihe, with mounting and drive details and outlet alignment for this machine.
Fertilizer depth and side offset are set on the fertilizer unit; the 8AJ's 1–5 cm setting is seedling depth. In a combined demonstration, check planting, fertilizer discharge and final placement one by one.
