Sifang GN151 Walking Tractor
The Sifang GN151 is a single-axle walking tractor for powered and traction work. Sifang lists a 1100-series diesel engine rated 11.03 kW at 2200 rpm, six forward and two reverse gears, and rubber or iron wheels with adjustable track. It comes with a traction frame (351 kg structural weight) or a rotary tiller (472 kg), and works with single or double plough shares. Choose the wheels, track setting, implement, starting version and transmission input first, then compare prices on that exact package.

Build my procurement briefPick the job and implement first
Sifang lists single-share ploughing, double-share ploughing and rotary cultivation as separate set-ups. The overview offers chain or gear input, and the detailed transmission table describes chain input. Make sure the quotation names the input and the working implement its figures apply to.
| Field job | What to specify |
|---|---|
| Single-share ploughing | Specify the plough, hitch and wheel set-up. Sifang lists 33 cm working width and 17–23 cm depth. |
| Double-share ploughing | Sifang lists 43 cm width and 17–20 cm depth. Check the full implement package against your field conditions. |
| Rotary cultivation | Choose the 60, 70 or 90 cm width option, then settle the drive, rotor speed and depth control. |
| Seat or traction frame | Ask what is included in the price and get the approved operating set-up. The seat appears in one operating-mass figure, so ask whether it is standard. |

Published specifications
Read each value with its stated conditions, and ask the manufacturer for any limit not listed here.
| Specification | Published value | Meaning / limit |
|---|---|---|
| Machine type | Single axle; powered and traction applications [1] | Sifang's own description. Agree the implement and operator setup; ask separately about road use in your country. |

| Structural weights | 351 kg with traction frame; 472 kg with rotary tiller [1] | Dry structural weight for each configuration. Operating mass, with oil and water, is listed separately. |
| Operating mass | Minimum 371 kg; 492 kg with rotary tiller and seat [1] | Includes oil and water. The 492 kg figure is for the tiller and seat together. |
| Wheel-centre track | Rubber wheels 570–810 mm; iron wheels 850–1090 mm [1] | Adjustment range for each wheel type, taken centre to centre. The machine's outer width exceeds it; ask which settings suit your implement. |
| Minimum ground clearance | 210 mm [1] | Listed without load conditions. Check it on the loaded package if clearance matters in your fields. |
| Travel gears: rubber wheels | Six forward: 1.53 / 2.72 / 4.57 / 5.65 / 10.03 / 16.83 km/h; two reverse: 1.21 / 4.51 km/h [1] | Catalogue speeds on rubber wheels. Area worked per hour and legal transport speed are separate questions. |
| Rotary working dimensions | Depth 12–17 cm; width options 60, 70 or 90 cm [1] | Three fixed width options. Ask for the soil conditions behind the depth range. |
| Plough working dimensions | Single share: depth 17–23 cm, width 33 cm; double share: depth 17–20 cm, width 43 cm [1] | Each share option has its own depth and width; quote them as a pair. |
| Rotor speed: sprockets 13/14 | Slow 219 rpm; fast 275 rpm [1] | Speeds for this sprocket arrangement. Ask for a drawing showing the fitted sprockets and drive direction. |
| Rotor speed: sprockets 14/13 | Slow 254 rpm; fast 318 rpm [1] | Speeds for the reversed sprocket arrangement. Each pair of figures belongs to its own sprocket set. |
| Specific fuel consumption | 257 g/kWh [1] | An engine figure in grams per kilowatt-hour, listed without test conditions. Ask for field consumption in litres per hour at your load. |
Length, weight and wheels go together
With the traction frame the GN151 is 2340 mm long with 351 kg structural weight. With the rotary tiller it is 2950 mm long and weighs 472 kg. Operating mass, including oil and water, starts at 371 kg and reaches 492 kg with the tiller and seat. Compare machines on the same configuration and the same kind of weight.
Ask for an assembled drawing with your wheels, track setting, implement and seat. Use it to check gateways and turning room at row ends. The track ranges are measured between wheel centres, so the outer width changes with each setting. Ask Sifang for its lifting, transport and storage instructions. Tractors from other factories are grouped on our tractors page for side-by-side comparison. If you would rather ride than walk behind, the Xinglaihe TA254-A6 / TA254-A9 and the Xinglaihe TA304-A9 Compact Tractor are compact four-wheel alternatives to weigh against the GN151.

Clutch, gearbox, rotor sprockets and tyres
Sifang lists a double-plate normally engaged friction clutch, a gear gearbox arranged as (3+1) × 2, a two-stage gear final drive, a simple disc brake and dog-clutch steering. Use these to plan the controls and parts discussion, and ask for the service manual for the chain or gear input version you order.
| Listed by Sifang | Check before ordering |
|---|---|
| Chain input in the detailed table | The overview also offers gear input. Ask which one your order has and get its parts drawing and specification. |
| Two sprocket arrangements | Rotor speed depends on 13/14 or 14/13 sprockets and the slow or fast setting. Record the fitted sprockets and the setting you need. |
| Rubber-wheel tyres | Sifang lists 6.00-12 four-ply agricultural tread tyres at 137–196 kPa. Check the tyres fitted today and follow the approved load and pressure instructions. |
| Controls and braking | Ask for a safe demonstration of the clutch, steering, brake and gear controls, and a brake test record for your machine. |

Engine and starting version
Sifang names the 1100 series without a full engine designation. Starting is by hand crank, with electric start on engines whose designation carries M. Before pricing, check the engine label and the starting equipment supplied, including the battery where fitted. The 11.03 kW rating is at 2200 rpm on the engine; power at the implement will be lower.
The 257 g/kWh fuel figure comes without test conditions, so ask for fuel use at your expected load and for the engine handbook. Keep engine parts and tractor and implement parts on separate lists, both tied to the serial numbers of the machine you receive.

Sample trial: record the whole package
Sifang publishes working depths and speeds but no daily output. A short trial with Sifang's support turns those figures into numbers for your own fields.
Record what is fitted
Photograph the labels and note engine variant, transmission input, wheels, track setting, implement width, sprockets and seat.
Describe the ground
Note soil texture, moisture, previous cultivation and obstacles. Ask Sifang for its operating limits and safe test method.
Run the chosen job
Record passes, working width and depth reached, stoppages and turning in your field. Log ploughing and rotary work separately.
Check the delivery papers
Match manuals, parts lists and destination documents to the machine you tested. Agree acceptance and warranty terms in the contract.

Buyer questions
Does the GN151 come with electric start?
Electric start applies to engine variants marked M. Ask for the exact engine and starting system and whether it is in your quoted price. [1]
Which GN151 weight should I compare?
Use like for like: 351 kg structural with the traction frame, 472 kg structural with the tiller, or the operating-mass figures. The 492 kg figure is with tiller and seat, oil and water included. [1]
Can I order a 318 rpm rotor speed?
318 rpm is the fast setting with 14/13 sprockets. Name the sprocket arrangement and ask for the drive drawing in your purchase specification. [1]
What rotary-tiller widths are available?
Sifang lists 60, 70 and 90 cm. Ask which implement and parts list go with the width you are quoted. [1]
Does Sifang's crawler-tractor drafting work cover the GN151?
That plan covers crawler tractors. For the GN151, ask Sifang for its own conformity documents and a field performance report. All figures on this page come from the GN151 model sheet. [1]
