Hengfeng 6CCB-842ZD Flat Tea Roaster
The Hengfeng 6CCB-842ZD is a two-pan linked roaster for Longjing and other flat-shaped teas, with 840 mm pans and electric heating. It is one column in Hengfeng's linked flat-tea table. Each pan takes its own processing job, and Hengfeng describes automatic temperature control, feeding, transfer between pans and discharge. Before choosing settings, decide what each pan should do and how leaf hands over. The printed power labels and the N0.7 output entry need a written explanation from Hengfeng before you size the electrics or plan output.

Build my procurement briefGiving each of the two pans a job
Hengfeng gives fixation and flattening as examples of jobs a pan can take, and says each pan can run its own temperature and pressure setting. The 842ZD has two pans. Sunyoung's 6CCGQ Double-Pot Tea Shapers are another two-pot design to weigh if you are still choosing a machine. Hengfeng publishes no recipe, sequence or pressure range for it, so work these out with Hengfeng for your leaf. Where fixation and flattening sit among the other tea-making steps is laid out in our guide to tea processing machinery by stage.
| Process decision | What to agree for the 842ZD |
|---|---|
| First pan | The incoming leaf condition, the operation and how you judge when it is done. |
| Second pan | The next operation and the leaf condition it expects from the first pan. Plan for two stages; the three- and four-pan routes belong to other models. |
| Leaf transfer | How and when leaf moves between the pans, and what happens if one stage stops. |
| Settings and readings | The temperature and pressure controls, how they are measured, Hengfeng's instructions and a recorded sample run. |

Published specifications
Read each value with its stated conditions, and ask the manufacturer for any limit not listed here.
| Specification | Published value | Meaning / limit |
|---|---|---|
| Model | 6CCB-842ZD; two pans [1] | The 843ZD, 844ZDA and 1000 mm-pan models in the same table have their own figures. |
| Pan length | 840 mm [1] | Listed as the pan configuration length. Ask for the full usable pan dimensions, fill mass and leaf depth. |
| Overall dimensions | 1380 × 1330 × 1240 mm [1] | Length × width × height. Add room for feeding, discharge, the operator and servicing when you plan the layout. |
| Heating | Electric heating [1] | Ask for the heater and drive load schedule and an electrical drawing for your build. |
| Power rows as printed | Motor power/voltage: 10/380 kW/V; electric-heat power/voltage: 1.8/380 kW/V [1] | The two labels may be swapped. Ask Hengfeng to state the motor and heater ratings in writing. |
| Output row | N0.7 in the dry-tea kg/h row, as printed [1] | The N symbol is not explained and no tea or settings are given. Ask Hengfeng what it means and on what basis. |
| Pan material | All pan bodies stainless steel, per Hengfeng [1] | Request the alloy grade, surface finish and a contact-material test document. |
Power labels to clear up before wiring
The 842ZD column prints 10/380 under motor power/voltage and 1.8/380 under electric-heat power/voltage. The page has no wiring diagram or component list.
Ask Hengfeng to list every drive, heater and auxiliary load with its voltage, phases and control arrangement. Give that list to your electrician. Size the supply from Hengfeng's written figures rather than from the printed table.

The dry-tea output row
The output row is headed kg/h dry tea and shows N0.7 for this model. Hengfeng does not say what N stands for, and gives no tea variety, leaf condition, pan settings or timing basis. Ask before you count on 0.7 kg/h, a daily figure or a fresh-leaf rate.
For a demonstration, agree with Hengfeng and your tea team how input and output mass are measured. Record transfer time, settings, leaf removed or left in the pans, stoppages and how samples score. Weight and time alone will not tell you whether the tea meets your standard, so judge the tea too. Running the same leaf on a second flat-tea machine, such as the Yinqiu 6CCB-781ZD Flat-Tea Processing Machine, gives your tea team a benchmark. Machines for the steps before and after roasting are grouped on our tea processing page.

Checking the delivered machine
Ask for drawings and contact-material details of the machine that will actually ship, and check it against them on delivery.
Match the build
Check the 842ZD label, two-pan layout, 840 mm pans and the electrical schedule Hengfeng confirmed.
Check handling and access
Use the real feed and discharge layout and your site drawing. Leave space for cleaning and service beyond the listed dimensions.
Run the agreed tea
Check each pan job and the transfer against the recorded settings and the agreed tea criteria.
Close out documents and support
Collect operating, cleaning and maintenance instructions, parts lists, current packing weights and the commissioning and warranty terms.

Buyer questions
Are the motor and heater power labels swapped?
They may be. Ask Hengfeng for a written schedule of motor, heater and auxiliary loads before you plan the supply. [1]
Is N0.7 a minimum output of 0.7 kg/h?
Hengfeng does not explain the N or the test basis. Ask what the entry means and under which tea and settings it applies. [1]
Does the 842ZD cover every Longjing stage?
It handles two pan stages. Hengfeng sells a complete digital line as a separate item, so ask for an itemised scope with the 842ZD. [1]
Is the pan steel food-contact grade?
Hengfeng says stainless steel. Ask for the grade and a contact-material document for your machine. [1]
