Hausys DL-1201 Double-Line Bump-Feed Trimmer Head

The Hausys DL-1201 is a double-line trimmer head that lets out nylon line when you tap the head on the ground. Its parts drawing lists the replacement components and seven left-hand adaptors, so you choose the adaptor that matches your brushcutter's spindle. Two adaptors share the M8×1.25 thread but differ as female and male. This page sets out the adaptor and part codes, how to confirm fit on your machine, the empty spool and the sleeve-and-carton packing, so you can order the right head and spares.

Build my procurement brief

How the DL-1201 feeds line

Hausys describes the DL-1201 for double-line cutting and thinning: you tap the head on the ground and it lets out more nylon line. The photo shows two line exits. The parts drawing lists the spool without line, so ask how much line, and of what diameter, comes in the head you buy. Hausys also sells a 15 m donut-blister trimmer line, so head and refill can go on one quotation.

Ask Hausys for the revision on offer and whether it ships loaded or empty. Request the loading, feeding and service instructions together with the speed and line limits for your machine. The product page gives no fitting sequence or maximum speed, so get both from Hausys.

Hausys says the head comes standard on many trimmers. Treat that as a general statement and check the head against your own machine's mounting and cutting-attachment specification before you order it as a replacement.

Seven left-hand adaptors: pick by thread and form

All seven adaptor rows are marked Left. Both M8×1.25 and M10×1.25 come as a female and a male version. The table gives thread and form only; ask for seating depth, shoulder geometry and which spindles each adaptor is approved for.

Adaptor order codeThread as listed
5070106M8×1.25 Left female.
5070107M8×1.25 Left male. Same thread as 5070106, opposite mating form.
5070108M10×1.25 Left female.
5070109M10×1.25 Left male. Same thread as 5070108, so check male against female carefully.
5070110M10×1.50 Left male. Coarser pitch than 5070109.
5070111M12×1.50 Left female.
5070112M12×1.75 Left female. Coarser pitch than 5070111.

Confirming fit on your brushcutter

Hausys says its adaptor bolts fit most brushcutters. The adaptor list narrows the choice; the final match depends on your machine. Ask for the adaptor and the full mounting arrangement in one compatibility answer. If you are importing the brushcutters themselves as well, our guide to buying handheld petrol and battery garden tools covers blades and market documents.

  1. Your spindle

Give the machine and current head model and the spindle thread specification: diameter, pitch, handedness and male or female form.

  2. Seating and locking

Ask for the interface drawing and the adaptor code offered, with seating and locking details. The table gives no adaptor length, shoulder or tightening torque.

  3. Line and operation

Get the permitted line shape and diameter and the machine and head limits and instructions. Housing colour, a photo with line or a brand name will not tell you these.

  4. Fit sample

Record head revision, adaptor code and approved line on your machine. Test feeding and cutting with that combination; a different adaptor needs its own check.

Spare parts and the empty spool

The exploded drawing shows where each part sits, including plates, spring and adaptor. It is a parts map; ask for quantities and a repair procedure separately. The alternative adaptors are listed side by side, and each head ships with the one you order.

Order code and partWhat to confirm
5070101 Upper coverCheck the code against the head revision offered. Ask whether it fits other DL models.
5070102 Spool without lineAn empty spool. Order replacement line and loading instructions with it.
5070103 Line retainerAsk for dimensions, material and how many come per service pack.
5070104 PlateThe plate appears more than once in the assembly drawing. Ask how many a service kit needs and how many come in a pack.
5070105 SpringOrder the Hausys code; spring dimensions, rate and material are not given, so a lookalike may differ.
5070113 HousingCurrent housing code. Ask for the material and whether it fits other models.

Carton packing and repeat orders

Standard packing for the DL-1201 head is one sleeve each and 40 pieces per carton. Ask the offer to spell out which adaptor each head carries and how a carton is made up, and quote spare parts and their minimums separately.

State whether heads come loaded with line, which line you want and which spares you are buying. Keep 5070106 and 5070107 apart on every document: both are M8×1.25, one female and one male. Match the adaptor to your mounting and record the approved configuration so you can check each repeat shipment against it.

The product page gives no lead time, warranty period, endurance test or cutting-life figure. Ask Hausys for delivery, replacement and service terms and the product documents for your market, and confirm in writing that the head is approved for your machine. Other makers' heads and line sit in the garden and forestry category for comparison.

Buyer questions

What is the difference between 5070106 and 5070107?

5070106 is M8×1.25 Left female; 5070107 is M8×1.25 Left male. The thread is the same, the mating form is opposite. [2]

Are the two M10×1.25 adaptors the same?

No. 5070108 is Left female and 5070109 is Left male. Pick the one that mates with your spindle. [2]

Does the replacement spool come with nylon line?

No. Part 5070102 is listed as spool without line. Order line and loading instructions separately. [2]

Is 40 pieces the minimum order for spare parts?

Forty per carton is the standard packing for the head. Ask Hausys for spare-part minimums and adaptor mix. [2]

What line diameter and maximum speed are approved?

The product page leaves both out. Ask Hausys for the approved line and speed for your adaptor, head and machine. [1] [2]
