Guangchang KXFL Bran and DKTL Hull Recovery Devices
Guangchang sells two air-classification devices on one sheet, both running off the mill's existing air system. KXFL works on the rice bran line. It pulls broken rice, fines and any whole kernels out of the bran, at 0.45, 0.6 or 0.9 t/h for the 45, 60 and 80 sizes. DKTL works on the hull line and recovers whole, broken and shrivelled grain carried off with the husks. Pick the device by the stream you want to treat, then match its inlet, supplementary and outlet air to your network. The DKTL output figures need a unit check with Guangchang before sizing.

Build my procurement briefBran line or hull line: pick the device by the stream
In a rice mill, husks are aspirated off after husking and bran comes off in whitening. IRRI's milling guide describes these as separate streams. KXFL goes on the bran stream and DKTL on the hull stream. Paddy left in the husker output is a different job, done by Guangchang's MGCZ double-body paddy separator.
| Stream | What Guangchang's sheet says |
|---|---|
| KXFL bran and fines | Bran can carry broken rice and fines, and whole kernels if a rice screen is damaged or wrongly assembled. KXFL separates them by their different suspension behaviour in air. A damaged screen still needs repair at the whitener. |
| DKTL hull recovery | The feed is rice hulls with grain mixed in. Guangchang describes the recovered secondary grain for further use. Check its moisture and contaminants against your food or feed buyer's terms. |
| Translation note | The English KXFL text says husk where the Chinese says bran and rice fines. Choose by the Chinese description: KXFL for bran, DKTL for hulls. |
| Inlet and outlets | Name the source of the by-product and where recovered grain and rejects should go. Ask for the internal passages and pipe layout for your build. |
Published specifications
Read each value with its stated conditions, and ask the manufacturer for any limit not listed here.
| Specification | Published value | Meaning / limit |
|---|---|---|
| KXFL material | Rice bran with broken/fine rice and possible whole kernels [2] | The Chinese text says 米糠 (bran) and 米粞 (rice fines). The English text says husk in places; the device is for bran. |
| DKTL material | Rice-hull stream containing recoverable grain fractions [2] | Recovers full kernels, broken or incomplete grains and shrivelled grains. Check that the recovered grain suits your intended use. |
| KXFL output | 0.45 / 0.6 / 0.9 t/h for 45 / 60 / 80 [2] | Device throughput on the bran line, separate from whole-mill throughput. Ask what bran mix it was rated on. |
| DKTL output | 900–1200 / 1200–1400 under a t/h heading [2] | These figures sit far above the matched huller capacity of 4–4.8 and 5.5–6.5 t/h. Ask Guangchang for the correct unit and basis. |
| Power | Existing mill air network; no additional drive claimed [2] | The devices add no motor, but they draw air at the listed volumes and pressure losses, which loads the plant fan. |
KXFL sizes, output and air
All air figures are in m³/h. Guangchang lists the supplementary separating air apart from the inlet and outlet streams. Ask for one balanced setting per size, with the points where air is measured. How filters, fans and machine capacities are balanced across a plant is outlined in our grain cleaning and handling line basics guide.
| Model and output | Inlet, supplementary and outlet air, resistance and weight |
|---|---|
| KXFL45: 0.45 t/h | Inlet 1800–3000; supplementary 500–900; outlet 2300–3900 m³/h. Equipment resistance 570 Pa; weight 115 kg. |
| KXFL60: 0.6 t/h | Inlet 2400–4000; supplementary 600–1200; outlet 3000–5000 m³/h. Resistance 588 Pa; weight 130 kg. |
| KXFL80: 0.9 t/h | Inlet 3000–5000; supplementary 800–1500; outlet 3000–6000 m³/h. Resistance 600 Pa; weight 150 kg. |
| KXFL80 outlet range | The printed outlet range does not equal inlet plus supplementary air. Ask Guangchang for the balanced figures and settings. |
| Cleaning | The table calls for cleaning 2 times per shift. Ask for the method, shift length assumed and lock-out procedure. |

DKTL output and matching huller
The DKTL output heading reads t/h, but the figures are 900–1200 and 1200–1400. A separate row gives the matched paddy capacity as 4–4.8 and 5.5–6.5 t/h. Ask Guangchang to state the output unit and how it was measured.
| Model | Figures on the sheet |
|---|---|
| DKTL45 | Output 900–1200 as printed under t/h; matched huller 4–4.8 t/h; roller 14 inches (Φ360). Weight 138 kg. |
| DKTL60 | Output 1200–1400 as printed under t/h; matched huller 5.5–6.5 t/h; roller 10 inches×2 (Φ250×2). Weight 168 kg. |
| Matching to your husker | Tell Guangchang your husker model, hull flow, grain content in the hulls and the recovered-grain quality you want. Roller size gives a starting point. |
| Quantity on the quote | Get the output written with a confirmed unit and a named feed and output measure before you plan recovered-grain volumes. |

DKTL air, ducts and the existing network
Guangchang says both devices run on the mill's existing air system with no extra motor. The plant fan still has to move the added air against the added pressure loss, so check spare fan capacity with Guangchang and your plant engineer. If that network ends in a pulse filter, the TBLM and TBLMA pulse bag filters list air volume by model.
| Figure on the sheet | Plant check |
|---|---|
| DKTL45 air | Inlet 3600–5000; supplementary 1000–1200; outlet 4600–6200 m³/h. Pressure loss ≤500 Pa. |
| DKTL60 air | Inlet 5500–7000; supplementary 1200–1800; outlet 6700–8800 m³/h. Pressure loss 500 Pa. |
| DKTL45 openings | Inlet W×H 450×160 mm; outlet 450×250 mm. Plan duct transitions to match. |
| DKTL60 openings | Inlet 600×160 mm; outlet 600×250 mm. These are duct openings only. |
| Shared network | Make sure the husk or bran aspiration still does its job once the device is added. Ask for a fan curve check, total network loss and the effect on dust collection. |

Recovery figures and payback claims
For KXFL the sheet prints separation efficiency >99 and rice fines in bran of ≤0.5 or ≤0.8. For DKTL it prints secondary-grain efficiency ≥90, hull content in the extracted material ≤7%, and a full-grain count of ≤20 per 100 kg; ask which stream that last count is sampled from. No sampling or calculation method is given.
Before a trial with Guangchang, name the material, the tonnage and the quality you accept for recovered grain and rejects. Write down the base for each percentage, and check both the grain you recover and what is left in the bran or hulls. A device's recovery figure applies to its own stream; your mill's overall yield depends on the whole line.
The sheet also promises good economics, a four-month return on investment and NO in the pollution row. It gives no price, grain value, energy cost or emission data. If payback or emissions matter to your decision, ask Guangchang for the figures behind them. Keep upstream screen and husker repairs on your own maintenance list.

Outlines, weights and upkeep
The overall dimensions carry no clear unit. The DKTL duct openings are marked mm, but that label belongs to the openings. Have Guangchang mark the outline unit on the KXFL or DKTL layout you order.
| Outline as printed and weight | What to request |
|---|---|
| KXFL45 / 60 / 80 | 1400×504×1685 / 1400×654×1705 / 1400×880×1790; weights 115 / 130 / 150 kg. Ask for the unit and outlet clearances. |
| DKTL45 / 60 | 1540×504×1820 / 1540×654×1920; weights 138 / 168 kg. Confirm supports, handling and packed weight. |
| Cleaning and parts | KXFL gives a cleaning frequency only. Ask for access, lock-out, seals, internal classifier parts and service instructions. |
| Before you accept the quote | Model and stream, output with its unit, balanced air duty, inlet and outlet layout, and the quality figures you will test. |

Buyer questions
If there is no extra motor, is there no energy cost?
The devices draw air from the plant network at the listed volumes and pressure losses. That load lands on your existing fan. [2]
Are the DKTL output figures in kg/h?
The heading says t/h while the figures are 900–1200 and 1200–1400. Ask Guangchang to confirm the unit in writing. [2]
Can I count on the recovery rates and four-month payback?
The sheet gives no test method or cost basis. Ask Guangchang for the trial data and the cost figures behind the claims. [2]
Will KXFL fix whole kernels in my bran?
It separates them out, but Guangchang names a damaged or badly fitted rice screen as the cause. Repair the screen as well. [2]
