Build my procurement briefHard and soft branches: what the SC-8602Y cuts
SUCA gives holly, boxwood, cypress or juniper, crape myrtle and tea as hard-branch examples, and vine-type growth as soft. The 30 mm figure belongs to soft wood; for hard wood the limit is 21 mm. Agree a short trial on your own branches before a volume order. If your crop work also calls for tying or pollination, SUCA builds the SC-9601 and SC-9701 branch-tying tools and the SC-8701 greenhouse tomato pollinator.
| Trial item | What to agree with SUCA |
|---|---|
| Branch material | Species, fresh or dry wood and the branch type you prune. |
| Diameter spread | A set of measured branches covering both hard and soft wood in your orchard or vineyard. |
| Cut quality | The finish you need and how it will be checked, following SUCA's instructions. |
| Settings and kit | The opening and motion setting used, plus the blade, pack and build tested. |

Published specifications
Read each value with its stated conditions, and ask the manufacturer for any limit not listed here.
| Specification | Published value | Meaning / limit |
|---|---|---|
| Cutting range | 0–30 mm; 21 mm hard / 30 mm soft branches [1] | Plan on the hard-branch figure for wood such as boxwood or tea, and on 30 mm for soft vine growth. |
| Maximum power | 920 W [1] | A peak figure. Ask SUCA for cutting force if you compare pruners. |
| Battery | 16.8 V, 2.5 Ah [1] | Ask whether 16.8 V is nominal or maximum, which connector the pack uses and how many packs come in the kit. |
| Pruner weight | 680 g [1] | Tool only. The battery weight field is left blank, so ask for the weight in working trim. |
| Working time | 2.5–3.5 hours [1] | Ask for the branch material, cut rate and temperature used to measure it. |
| Charging | 2–2.5 hours; charger input 110–240 V [1] | Charger input range. Confirm the plug type and charger model for your country. |
| Functions | Battery indicator; gradual-motion function; optional LCD [1] | Name the LCD on the order if you want it. |
| Carton | 10 pcs; 59 × 42 × 26 cm [1] | Ask what each set contains and the gross and net carton weights. |
Gradual motion, battery indicator and the LCD option
The feature list names a battery indicator, a gradual-motion function and an optional high-definition LCD. SUCA does not describe how the gradual motion works: trigger response, opening adjustment, sensing or automatic stop.
For the revision you are quoted, ask for the control description and the operating manual. Cover start and stop, opening settings, blade change and routine maintenance, and any operator-protection feature. Ask SUCA to state in writing whether the LCD is included and what it shows.

Battery runtime and working weight
The 680 g figure is the pruner alone; the battery weight is left blank. Working time is 2.5–3.5 hours and charging 2–2.5 hours, with no test conditions given, so a cuts-per-charge figure needs a trial of its own.
Before ordering, get the pack and charger models, the number of packs in the kit, the weight with battery and the runtime test method. Ask whether 16.8 V is a nominal or maximum value and which packs fit. The charger takes 110–240 V input; also confirm the plug, frequency, charging output and the battery shipping documents. Those pack and paperwork points for EU, UK and US markets are laid out in buying handheld petrol and battery garden tools for import.

Accepting the sample kit
SUCA's page lists no blade material or part number, no manual and no contents list for the ten-piece carton. Tie acceptance to the kit you actually receive. Pruning and cutting tools from other makers sit alongside it in garden and forestry.

Buyer questions
Can the SC-8602Y cut any 30 mm branch?
SUCA rates 30 mm for soft branches and 21 mm for hard wood. Trial it on your own species before relying on the upper figure. [1]
Does 680 g include the battery?
The table lists 680 g as pruner weight and leaves battery weight blank. Ask SUCA for the weight with the battery fitted. [1]
Is the LCD standard?
SUCA lists it as optional. Name it on your quotation if you need it. [1]
