Neetrue Rain-Spray Hose, Normal and Double-Wing
Neetrue's rain-spray hose waters a strip of ground through holes punched along the tube itself, with no separate emitters. It comes in a normal flat form and a double-wing form, and both pages carry the same seven-size table, from 20 mm (NPD-1203) to 76 mm (NPD-17612). Each size pairs a hole pattern with a working pressure between 0.8 and 1.5 bar, a flow per metre and a maximum laid length of 50 or 100 m. Choose the profile, then the row, and use the per-metre flow to estimate zone demand. Ask Neetrue to confirm the flow unit and the full order code.

Build my procurement briefNormal or double-wing, and the full order code
Neetrue says the side wings on the double-wing hose cut down rolling and scratching. Its cut-profile photo shows a central tube with flat margins, and the normal-page photo shows a plain hose rolled flat. Pick the profile that suits how the hose will lie in your field, and ask for test data if you want a measured durability gain.
The two pages repeat the same diameter, wall, hole, pressure, range, flow, laid-length and weight rows. Ask Neetrue to confirm the table, or supply test results, for the profile you choose, and to name that profile and hole pattern on the quotation.
The header code NPD-102PD differs from row codes such as NPD-1405 and NPD-1507, and the wing text calls the range NPD-P. Keep the package label and full order code so the diameter, wing form and hole arrangement can be traced later.
Seven sizes: holes, pressure, flow and laid length
Both Neetrue pages list these rows. Flow is headed I/min/m; confirm the unit before a final demand calculation. Ask whether spray range is one side or the full width, and under what conditions it was measured.
| Diameter / code / wall | Holes, pressure, range, flow, laid length |
|---|---|
| 20 mm · NPD-1203 · 0.20 mm wall | 3 parallel holes, 0.8 bar, range 2–3 m, 1.3 per metre, laid up to 50 m. |
| 28 mm · NPD-1285 · 0.20 mm wall | 5 slanted holes, 0.8 bar, range 2–4 m, 1.44 per metre, laid up to 50 m. |
| 32 mm · NPD-1325 · 0.21 mm wall | 5 slanted holes, 0.8 bar, range 3–4 m, 1.52 per metre, laid up to 50 m. |
| 40 mm · NPD-1405 · 0.31 mm wall | 5 slanted holes, 0.8 bar, range 4–6 m, 2.12 per metre, laid up to 100 m. |
| 50 mm · NPD-1507 · 0.33 mm wall | 7 slanted holes, 1.0 bar, range 5–7 m, 3.86 per metre, laid up to 100 m. |
| 65 mm · NPD-1659 · 0.38 mm wall | 9 slanted holes, 1.2 bar, range 6–8 m, 4.96 per metre, laid up to 100 m. |
| 76 mm · NPD-17612 · 0.43 mm wall | 12 slanted holes, 1.5 bar, range 6–9 m, 5.51 per metre, laid up to 100 m. |
Roll length and laid length are different numbers
The normal page header gives 100–200 m, while the table limits laid runs to ≤50 m for 20, 28 and 32 mm and ≤100 m for 40, 50, 65 and 76 mm. Buy the long roll for convenience and cut it into runs within the table limit.
The NPD-1507 package reads 50 mm, 100 m, pressure ≤1.5 bar and spray radius 2–4 m. The table row for 50 mm gives 1.0 bar working pressure and a 5–7 m spray range. The label and the table may describe different limits or measuring methods. Plan on the table's working point and ask Neetrue to explain the package figures.
Ask which operating point applies to your profile, how spray distance is measured and how long a run Neetrue allows. Bring both the table and the package label to that conversation.
Published specifications
Read each value with its stated conditions, and ask the manufacturer for any limit not listed here.
| Specification | Published value | Meaning / limit |
|---|---|---|
| Family and codes | Normal and double-wing rain-spray hose; seven NPD size rows [1] [2] | Both pages carry the NPD-102PD header, and the wing text says NPD-P. Ask for the full size, profile and hole code. |
| Diameter / wall | 20–76 mm / 0.20–0.43 mm by size [1] [2] [3] [4] | Taken from the size table; each diameter has its own wall. |
| Working pressure / flow per metre | 0.8–1.5 bar; 1.3–5.51 per metre, unit printed I/min/m [1] [2] | Confirm the unit is litres per minute per metre. Each value is per metre at that row's own pressure and holes, not per hole or per roll. |
| Roll length and laid length | Header 100–200 m; laid ≤50 m for 20/28/32 mm and ≤100 m for 40/50/65/76 mm [1] [2] | Cut a long roll into shorter runs. The header figure is a roll size, not one continuous 200 m line. |
| Spray distance | Table range 2–9 m; 50 mm package label radius 2–4 m [1] [2] [5] | Range and radius are labelled differently. Ask how each was measured before setting row spacing. |
From flow per metre to zone demand
For NPD-1405 the table gives 2.12 in the I/min/m column at 0.8 bar, with laid runs up to 100 m. If the unit is litres per minute per metre and every metre delivers that rate, an 80 m run needs 2.12×80=169.6 L/min. Multiply by the number of runs working at the same time for a first estimate of zone demand, then check it with Neetrue against your pump. Matching that demand to a pump's head and flow is the subject of our guide to choosing a petrol engine water pump.
UF/IFAS explains that elevation and friction change pressure along a flowing irrigation line, so a static gauge reading differs from running conditions. Its citrus examples give hydraulic background; ask Neetrue for loss figures for this hose, and use the pressure available at the run itself. Our guide to specifying irrigation hose and pipe explains friction loss and rain-spray hose in plain terms.
The pages list no pressure compensation, emitter pressure curve, filtration requirement or hole pitch. Request these with a sample layout before you count on even flow along your field. Where several runs share a header, Neetrue's prefabricated-hole irrigation main pipe takes outlets at custom spacing. Irrigated area, crop water need and energy savings come from your own design figures.
Get a layout response and service terms
Neetrue describes UV resistance, gentle droplets and service beyond three years. Ask for the exposure test, conditions and warranty that go with those statements for your installation.
Record the selection
Size, profile, hole pattern and pitch, pressure row, end connections and planned laid lengths.
Record the layout
Available supply, elevations, runs working together and a sample distribution check, noting where pressure and flow were measured.
Clarify coverage
How spray distance was measured and how the proposed layout spreads water under your conditions. Spacing follows from that.
Clarify service
Filtration and flushing, permitted water quality, exposure and storage instructions, and warranty terms, with the conditions behind the three-year figure in writing.
Buyer questions
Do the normal and double-wing hoses come in different sizes?
No. Both use the same seven-row table. Profile, size and hole pattern are separate choices on your order. [1] [2]
Can a 200 m roll be laid as one 200 m run?
The table limits laid runs to 50 or 100 m depending on size. Cut the roll into runs within that limit. [1] [2]
Is the 1.5 bar on the NPD-1507 package its working pressure?
The label says ≤1.5 bar; the table's 50 mm row gives 1.0 bar working pressure. Ask Neetrue which limit applies and under what conditions. [1] [2] [5]
