Ferdlis FAZK Custom Button-Mushroom Climate Units

FAZK is Ferdlis's custom climate-control series for button-mushroom growing (双孢菇). Ferdlis lists a cooling capacity of at least 50 kW, airflow from 5000 to 30000 m³/h, horizontal or vertical layouts and a 380 V three-phase 50 Hz supply. The coil runs on water or an aqueous glycol solution from a cooling source on site. Each unit is built to order, so the fluid circuit, the coil and fan duty and the growing-room controls are designed together. Send your room, crop and cooling-source details to get a selection and a quote.

Build my procurement brief

Start with the water or glycol circuit

FAZK uses a fluid medium, while FAEH lists R22 and R410a refrigerants. Ask for a circuit drawing that assigns every part to Ferdlis or to the site.

Fluid-side itemWhat the FAZK selection should show
Cooling sourceThe source, its supply and return temperatures, usable cooling duty, and how it runs through stage changes. Ask whether a chiller is part of the supply.
Water or glycolThe exact fluid and concentration and the design temperatures, fixed before the coil is selected. Glycol changes coil capacity and pressure drop, so ask for figures at your mix.
Flow and pressure dropCoil fluid flow and pressure drop at the agreed medium and temperatures, plus who provides the pump, control valve, balancing and measurement.
Connections and servicingConnection sizes, isolation, drain and vent points, access, and who cleans and maintains the fluid. Ask for a water-treatment specification.

Published specifications

Read each value with its stated conditions, and ask the manufacturer for any limit not listed here.

SpecificationPublished valueMeaning / limit
Series and cropFAZK / button mushrooms (双孢菇) [1]Ferdlis lists FAZK for button mushrooms. Tell Ferdlis your own growing method so the design follows it.
Cooling capacityAt least 50 kW; non-standard customization [1]A lower limit for a built-to-order unit. Ask for the selected output, its rating temperatures and the electrical input.
Thermal mediumWater or aqueous glycol solution [1]Listed as the cooling medium. Agree the fluid, its concentration and who supplies the cooling source.
Installation formsHorizontal / vertical [1]Two layouts. Ask for dimensions, drain direction and service space for the one you choose.
Airflow range5000–30000 m³/h [1]Series span. Static pressure, fan power, speed and fresh-air share come with the selected fan.
Electrical supply380 V / 3-phase / 50 Hz [1]The published supply. Motor and controller circuits, currents and protection come in the build documents.

Reading “at least 50 kW”

Ferdlis marks FAZK as non-standard customization. The capacity line sets a floor with no upper limit and no family table. Ask that your purchase specification state the cooling output at defined air and fluid conditions, with motor and controller loads listed separately.

Send the room and process heat and moisture calculation, your climate assumptions and the stage changes you need. Ask for the coil selection at those conditions and the airflow the fan delivers through your installed ducts. Coil output moves with entering fluid and entering air, so the quote should list each operating point it covers.

Horizontal or vertical layout

The listing offers horizontal and vertical forms without drawings. Connection positions, condensate path and access space can differ between them. Ask for a general arrangement of the layout you choose, with service clearances, panel access, support points and supply and return connection positions.

Place that drawing on your plant or growing-room plan. Leave routes for cleaning and drainage and room to remove the coil, fan, filter or controls. If you change layout after the quote, ask Ferdlis to revise the build and price.

Fan point, duct resistance and room air

The 5000–30000 m³/h span covers several possible fan selections. Your unit will have one fan with one operating curve.

Air-side recordWhy it matters for FAZK
Fan operating pointSelected flow, external static pressure, speed control and motor duty. Ducted delivery differs from free-air flow.
Resistance scheduleCoil, filter, duct and room-distribution resistance for your build, at an agreed filter condition. Ask Ferdlis to calculate it for your layout.
Fresh and return airThe span is total airflow. Agree damper and ventilation functions against your CO₂ and heat and moisture schedule.
Room measurement planPoints at racks or beds and at supply and return, stage conditions, logging time and limits. Evenness across the beds comes from layout, so measure it.

How FAZK differs from FAEH

The same Chinese page lists FAEH with 5–50 RT cooling and heating, R22 or R410a, 220 or 380 V and air-cooled or water-cooled forms. FAZK has a kW floor, a water or glycol medium, a fixed three-phase 50 Hz supply and horizontal or vertical forms, built to order for button mushrooms. Each needs different enquiry details.

The page gives no common rating basis for RT and kW, and no heating figure for FAZK. Write any heating, humidity and ventilation equipment you need into the FAZK specification itself; FAEH options stay with FAEH.

Buyer questions

Is FAZK a fixed 50 kW unit?

No. Ferdlis lists at least 50 kW and builds each unit to order. Ask for a selection sized to your room, with its rating conditions. [1]

Does FAZK come with a cooling plant and pump?

The listing does not include them. Ask for a quote and circuit drawing that say who supplies the cooling source, pumps and each connection. [1]

Can I use the FAEH heating range for FAZK?

No. FAZK has no published heating figure. If you need heating, specify the equipment and its duty in the FAZK offer. [1] [2]

Can I switch between horizontal and vertical after delivery?

Ferdlis publishes no conversion procedure. Fix the layout, drainage, connections and access on the approved drawing before production. [1]

Growing-room controls, specified on their own

The button-mushroom label names the crop. The control schedule and the accuracy you need are part of the custom design, so specify them step by step. For the temperature, humidity and CO₂ items in that schedule, our notes on grow-room climate equipment give a checklist to start from.

  1. Set the stages

You supply the production method and the conditions for each stage. The temperature, humidity and CO₂ recipe is yours.

  2. List the hardware

Sensors with locations and calibration, fluid valve control, fresh-air dampers and any humidity or heating equipment. Mark each item as Ferdlis, installer or excluded.

  3. Approve sequences and logs

Stage changes, interlocks, alarms, logging and backup, and what the controls do when cooling fluid or airflow stops.

  4. Accept the room

Record the load and stage, the air and fluid readings and the room behaviour against agreed limits. Plan this as a room test after equipment start-up.

Spares and maintenance for a custom unit

Ferdlis describes installer and user training and follow-up service. The catalogue page gives no FAZK spare-parts list or warranty. Because every FAZK is built to order, ask for a bill of materials that names the actual fan, coil, valves, sensors and controller.

Agree who maintains the fluid side, electrics and controls, and the access and cleaning routine for the layout you chose. Collect the configuration and commissioning record, a named service contact and the fault and restart procedure. If you want a standby cooling source or redundancy, ask for it to be designed and quoted.
