What the YK-67 package includes

Yingke lists an engine and a ratio under a parts heading, without handles, guards or tines. Ask for a bill of the parts you will receive.

Reading the ratio and tine speed

The 7500 rpm goes with the rated-power figure. The 32:1 ratio is listed by itself, with no shafts named. Get the output speed at the tines from Yingke instead of dividing one by the other.

Ask for a transmission drawing and the input and output operating data: speed, direction, torque and duty, and the allowed connections. Yingke publishes no tilling speed, depth, width or work rate for the YK-67, so ask for them or measure them on a trial. To set those targets for the finished machine, our page on choosing a mini tiller or rotary cultivator explains working width, depth and rotation direction.

Fitting it to your machine

Yingke's catalogue also lists clutch cases, gearboxes, operator-pipe systems and multifunction attachments. Fit between those parts, or with your own machine, depends on the drawings.

Send Yingke the host machine or assembly reference, mounting and coupling dimensions, controls and intended duty. Ask for a written fit statement against an approved drawing or a marked sample. Our guide to sourcing farm machine components to drawing explains how to set up that approval with a Chinese parts factory. Also request the mounting pattern, overall dimensions, fuel and starting setup and the lubrication and service schedule, which the entry leaves out.

Approving the unit and the finished tiller

A fit check and a test of the finished tiller are two separate steps. The company assembling the machine runs the second one, within Yingke's stated conditions and instructions.

  1. Agree the build

Exact YK-67 revision, engine included or not, transmission and working and control parts.

  2. Check the drawings

Mating interfaces, direction, allowed loads and operating data.

  3. Test the duty

Set the soil and setup, and record performance on the finished machine. Measure depth and work rate yourself.

  4. Close the paperwork

Markings, manuals, parts and maintenance, destination documents, packing and warranty terms.

Buyer questions

Is the YK-67 a complete tiller?

Yingke lists it under Rototiller Parts and does not give a parts list. Ask whether you get a complete machine or an assembly. [1]

What tine speed does the 32:1 ratio give?

Yingke does not say which shafts the ratio covers. Ask for the output speed at the tines in writing. [1]
