Xinda 710 Axial-flow Livestock Fan

Xinda's 710 is a direct-drive axial fan for pig-house ventilation, running on 380 V. Xinda rates it at four static pressures: at least 16,500 m³/h at 0 Pa, 15,800 at 25 Pa, 15,100 at 50 Pa and 12,000 at 120 Pa, with efficiency falling from 14 to 9.5 m³/h/W across that range. Output power is printed as 1.1–4 kW. To size a barn, match your design static pressure to a row, then ask Xinda which motor it is quoting and for the mounting drawing.

Published specifications

Read each value with its stated conditions, and ask the manufacturer for any limit not listed here.

SpecificationPublished valueMeaning / limit
0 Pa static pressureAirflow ≥16,500 m³/h; efficiency ≥14 m³/h/W [1] [2]Free-air point. A working barn adds resistance, so use the row at your design pressure.
25 Pa static pressureAirflow ≥15,800 m³/h; efficiency ≥13 m³/h/W [2]Compare with the static pressure calculated for your building.
50 Pa static pressureAirflow ≥15,100 m³/h; efficiency ≥12 m³/h/W [2]Airflow drops as pressure rises. Ask Xinda for the tolerance and the test standard used.
120 Pa static pressureAirflow ≥12,000 m³/h; efficiency ≥9.5 m³/h/W [2]Highest pressure listed. For duties above 120 Pa, ask Xinda for curve data.
Electrical data380 V; output power printed as 1.1–4 kW [2]The range is not tied to the airflow rows. Ask for frequency, phase and the motor rating of the quoted fan on a datasheet.
DriveDirect drive [2]Motor drives the blade directly, with no belt to tension or replace.
Drawing dimensions710 mm upper span; 760 mm lower overall span; 380 mm side depth [2]Three different housing measurements. Ask for the wall opening, bolt pattern and service clearance.

Pick the pressure point, then the fan count

At 120 Pa the 710 moves 4,500 m³/h less than at 0 Pa. Multiplying the free-air figure by the number of fans will overstate ventilation in a real barn. Our guide to sizing livestock house fans shows how to work from airflow at static pressure when you set the fan count. Xinda publishes four points and no full curve, so ask it to confirm any figure between or beyond them.

Project decisionWhat to ask Xinda for
Air path through the buildingDescribe the inlets, cooling pads, shutters and exhaust you plan, and ask which of them were fitted when the fan was tested.
Fan count at the selected dutyGive total airflow and design static pressure together, and get a selection that names the motor and accessories.
Control at reduced speedAsk which speed control is allowed and for performance at your settings; the table covers full speed only.

Which motor comes with the fan

The parameter table prints output power as 1.1–4 kW without saying whether that means alternative motors or a family span. Ask Xinda which motor is in your quote, and request its nameplate, input current, starting method, supply frequency and the controllers it works with. Avoid estimating motor size from airflow and efficiency. The efficiency figures come from Xinda's test conditions; your running cost will depend on how the fan is used in your barn.

Mounting and wall opening

The fan in the photo is round with a front guard grille. The drawing marks a 710 mm span and a 760 mm span, so the model name is no guide to the opening size. Agree the mounting drawing before the wall is cut.

  1. Drawing approval

Ask Xinda to give blade diameter, outer housing diameter, flange or fixing dimensions and the wall cut-out as separate figures.

  2. Access and accessories

Confirm which grille, shutter, controller and fasteners are supplied, and leave room for cleaning and removal as the drawing shows.

  3. Installed acceptance

Measure airflow and pressure together with an agreed test set-up, and check the delivered motor and housing against the quoted configuration.

Pig-house conditions to specify

Xinda designs pig farms, builds livestock equipment, installs it and services it, and the 710 sits in its environmental-control range. The product sheet does not cover corrosion resistance, ingress rating, noise, operating temperature or spare-motor supply.

Tell Xinda how moisture, dust, washdown water and cleaning chemicals reach the fan and motor. Ask for the materials and protection rating for those conditions, a written cleaning procedure, and noise and temperature data before you treat the fan as part of a finished ventilation design.

Buyer questions

Does the 710 fan deliver 16,500 m³/h at 120 Pa?

No. Xinda gives at least 16,500 m³/h at 0 Pa and at least 12,000 m³/h at 120 Pa. Quote each airflow with its pressure. [2]

Can I use 710 mm as the wall-opening size?

The drawing also shows a 760 mm outer span and 380 mm depth. Ask Xinda for a mounting drawing that gives the cut-out and fixings. [2]

Is the motor 1.1 kW?

Xinda prints 1.1–4 kW for the fan. Your quotation should name the motor fitted and its electrical requirements. [2]

Which test reports and conformity documents come with the fan?

The product page and image give Xinda's own figures only. Ask Xinda in writing for test reports and the conformity documents your country requires. [1] [2] [3]
